  1. This is good news! Thanks for insight and updates RDF21! I haven't really kept up with the Observer sigh, but it's great to see so many projects starting! Off-topic but... Because I'm obsessed with height, are we still looking at 36 stories for Tryon Place?
  2. Wow! I didn't think we would apply for CLT! I'd heard that we were apply for MIA, JFK, DFW and LAX! What's even better? None of the articles I've read on AA resuming scheduled flights between USA-Cuba had NC behind Charlotte!
  3. http://realestate.usnews.com/places/rankings-best-places-to-live CLT is rated the 15 Best Place to Live in the USA! Pretty impressive...
  4. http://www.bizjournals.com/charlotte/print-edition/2016/02/26/office-vacancy-down-to-prerecession-level.html Surely, this is good news? Especially for new towers!
  5. Whilst you're joking (at least, I hope you are), bus has connotations like "black" "homeless" for many white people in CLT.
  6. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/business/banking/article63105392.html#emlnl=todays-headlines_newsletter I guess this could go in either the Good News Thread or the Bad News one. I put it here, seeing as MassMutual buying MetLife Retail, with the fact Babson Capital is here, maybe we will see MetLife Retail occupy the rest of 300 S. Tryon?
  7. Im still hoping for the Siemens S70 Streetcar as the future vehicle!
  8. I wish we were! Even better, I wish it was international!
  9. Out of curiosity, as a state are we currently offering incentives to any companies? Are there any potential major relocations? Which major companies considering moving from there current HQ?
  10. The high rise projects you know about interests me! Any hints are about them you could share?
  11. http://www.bizjournals.com/triangle/blog/techflash/2016/02/how-raleigh-beat-charlotte-for-ges-hq-but.html By the looks of it, GE was potentially interested in CLT for their HQ.
  12. Ding! Ding! Ding! You hit the nail on the head! I would also like to see the Airport line as a top priority.
  13. I get that, but this is what the planners supposedly wanted- new towers- and there are only 3 lined up or in construction, so there not that many. It just seems like that is what was written in the article new towers, we start new ones and then they are doomed to fail and never be built.
  14. Give me a clue where the old WF tower is and I may be able to help. EDIT- I'm not as knowledgable about CLT as I should be
  15. Oh, no. Sorry, I should have been clearer- I stole that photo from another site! Haha, I was curious. I'm a flight attendant! I get to peer out of the window and see all of CLT!
  16. I'm afraid my view of CLT beats yours! I get to see the whole city from above sucker! Haha, only joking- your view from your window is pretty sweet!
  17. Because I am obsessed with this project at the minute, I'm wondering how we went from this: http://www.charlotteobserver.com/news/business/article9094967.html#.U03YgvRDvvc to being worried about having too much office space in a relatively short time?
  18. Question- what is the big glass building in front of BoA Corporate? I thought it was BoA Plaza but it doesn't look like the right shape.
  19. Oh ok thanks! So the current plan isn't as short or a ugly as the rendering I linked to? When can we see an updated rendering Jayvee?
  20. Is this the new rendering? It looks less curvy. If it is the updated rendering, it looks like Crescent has reverted back to the shorter 27-storey version.
  21. The reaction from the passing of the LGBT Ordinance is horrible. The City Council meeting was hard to watch last night, especially with a man dressing up a King and mocking trans-people. EDIT- If McCrory signs a bill to ban or block our LGBT Ordinance, I hope it gets taken to the Supreme Court.
  22. EDIT- Yeah, I guess it's not the best. I want something like RDU T2 now. Hopefully the new concourse will be better.
  23. If I was in charge, I would expand the B Club (expand upwards?), keep the C/D Club as it is, built a club on E like the original plans for E and open a Flagship Lounge in the old Concourse D US Airways Club if that is still available.
