  1. Edit. Removed to avoid confrontation.
  2. Yeah they do, but regional jet expansion. Yawn.
  3. https://www.charlotteagenda.com/50901/launch-raleigh-agenda/ Charlotte Agenda is making me dislike them more and more. They are launching Raleigh Agenda, turning a local and unique media source into a generic and uninspired service. What I liked about Charlotte Agenda was how it was a fun little local company- which represented what Charlotte is. Expanding and moving away from Charlotte (they are even changing their "mission" from “Make Charlotte the smartest, most human city in the world” to “Make cities smarter and more human.”) has made my head shake. EDIT- However, if Agenda becomes a mass-media company (à la BuzzFeed) whilst maintaining about Charlotte's importance as the first city etc, then it may be beneficial to Charlotte as a city.
  4. FWIW, 300ST is more than half-leased so I'm not worried about 300ST. It just seems that nothing has be announced for Tryon, its been pushed back and that Crescent still doesn't own all the land and buildings for Tryon Place.
  5. Well then, you better be fairly young.
  6. Right, time to extend the Silver line into Union and Gaston! (Imagine me saying that menacingly whilst rubbing my hands together)
  7. I'm starting feel like this is starting to be Trump Charlotte all over again.
  8. Ugh. Thats nasty!! Burn it, burn it with fire! Really Levine? Thats what you come up with?
  9. RDU-China?! Hahahahaha! We've more likely to get flights to Rio and Sao Paulo back AND Tokyo. I don't believe GSK still contracts RDU-LHR, I think it expired a couple years back. I wonder if AA will drop RDU-LHR in favor of CLT-LHR, with Delta picking up RDU-LHR.
  10. It will be positive when all the 777 refits are complete- which is scheduled for mid 2017, when the 333 start to leave. The 772 will feature more business class seats and main cabin extra; better inflight entertainment systems; WiFi; power ports at every seats; walk up bar in business. So apart from the 3-4-3 config (compared to the 2-4-2 on the 330) it will be a better experience. CLT-London will (edit) most likely be going to 777s. I'm excited about it because I love the 777 cabin.
  11. The American Airlines' Airbus A330-300's will all be retired by 2018, due to the small fleet number. The A330-200's will be staying. I assume that current A333 routes (from Charlotte: London, Rome and select flights to Paris and Frankfurt) will be replaced with A332s or 777s. Extract from the email regarding the A330's retirement: Airbus A330-300 This is an aircraft that has served US Airways well. But we only have nine of them and, again, smaller fleets can be pricey to maintain. Their Pratt & Whitney PW4168 engine is unique in our fleet, adding maintenance complexity and expense for such a small number of aircraft. With a seat count of 291, it’s duplicative of B777-200ERs, which are being retrofitted to 289 seats. • A330-300 retirements begin in 2017 and will be done by the end of 2018. • A330 pilots are qualified on both the -200 and -300. • Flight attendants will be offered training in advance of the B777-200ER being introduced in designated markets. • No changes are planned for our 15 A330-200s.
  12. You saying we will see construction before December 31?
  13. It appears that the core has stopped moving upwards, and it looks like they don't plan on moving it up any time soon- I say this because the construction equipment has been removed partially from the core. What's going on?
  14. I didn't think of that! Then at least it is still in the Charlotte metro area.
  15. Is there any chance PayPal would reconsider their decision of the Charlotte operations centre if HB2 is repealed, which looks like it is increasingly becoming likely due to the DOJ's stance on the issue?
  16. Another throwback, from wikipedia: Circa November 2005. Look at all those parking lots!!
  17. That's a bit ambiguous. Early summer, mid summer, late summer? But it always seemed to be reported for an Late August 2017 opening.
  18. I meant additional, not literally second. I thought this would come up when I posted that post, but I thought that people would just understand it.
  19. According to the OAG Update, Delta is resuming flights between New York JFK and CLT! A major add, allowing CLT residents to have a second option for one-stop service to Europe not on AA!
  20. You have already commented on that post move on. You are the one who brought it up again.
  21. /\ Oh yes, removing a flag that stands for slavery, racism and hatred is political correctness (eye roll).
  22. I've ridden on the Stadler streetcars in London, they are clunky, slow, noisy and uncomfortable. The Brockville renderings and website doesn't make me very confident in their product. I would have liked Bombardier to submit proposals, the Toronto Transit Commission's new Bombardier Flexity Outlook streetcars are wonderful! I also think that if the Gold Line looks more like the Blue Line more people will ride it, as it looks faster and more modern.
  23. Pick the S70 model! It must make more sense than operating a completely new type? Also, Siemens, change the font you used to write Charlotte Area Transit System.
  24. I'm hoping for something along the lines of Trader Joe's.
