Drove down Maplewood Trace earlier. They're installing a sidewalk on the North side (there is already sidewalk on the South side for about half the block[???]) of the street and putting in lots of drainage pipes nearer to the corner of Dickerson, right next to the TV station. Also, lots of Tonka trucks in action at the site on the South side of the street. Gotta wonder if those improvements would have happened if the development weren't happening.

At first I read your post as they were 'legally' insulated and then figured out you were talking about soundproofing. The latter does not make me feel any better about their fate. Whatever Dallas/Chicago/NewYahk/Anaheim debutante moves there will do everything in their Daddy's power to close The 5 Spot. That sounds like a 'you' problem, brah. Take a lap.

Rode the 56 to downtown and back the other night. $4. Sure as hell beats $50 round trip that rideshare would have cost these days. But, it is still incredibly frustrating that they don't have CC/Debit swipe on the buses. I would even take a hard CC/Debit-like card that I could refill online. The flimsy little cards they offer are straight garbage. I had a 30 ride card once and the printed balance on the back wears off so quickly. Big dumb.

LOL Do you not remember the Whites Creek/Bellevue/Neelys Bend people who started violently shaking when they learned that money would be spent on other parts of town in the last transit proposal? They will literally poop in their own mouths if something is proposed that 'only benufits toorists'.

Gotta love it when outsiders tell us what to do.

It actually sucks. It's (highly likely) not inhabited by any natives or long time/term residents. Also, this is the spot where the much maligned 'The Fashion House' is which is akin to a STR property on steroids. Why that patch of land blew up like it did, I would really like to know. It will also make the expansion of that part of the interstate impossible.
