That makes sense. I assume they are close to starting. I didn't notice any work around Christmas when I went to Green with Envy. I will look again this week since I take Hawthorne to get to work.

You all are probably already aware but Kickstand is closing due to construction. I am not sure what type of construction though. I thought they may build something in the back parking lot but I can't remember where I saw that.

580 new jobs coming to Montgomery Country. This area seems to be on fire with job growth lately. Maybe it will spread to Roanoke? Also, 220 additional jobs in Reston. Cloud Computing jobs in Montgomery County

I was there too. The place seemed really unorganized. It was odd that the second level bar was closed too. Sometimes I am surprised that place stays in business. It always seems dirty too.

I have not. Kroger has been adding gas to its stores for a while now. I think you get a bigger gas discount the more you shop. Also, it seems like Undercurrent will finally open at the end of May or beginning of June.

I think the old church is going to possibly two restaurants. It will be nice having three new restaurants (two at the church and Sushi Guru) and Undercurrent Coffee all new on the same block.

I wonder why Founder's Hall retail doesn't fill up. It seems like it would have good foot traffic and it could be sort of a mini-mall if they got the right tenants. Maybe the rental rate is too high or possibly BofA only wants certain tenants? The flower shop closed about a year ago and remains empty.

I saw a shipping container bar in Puerta Vallarta and visually it was pretty cool. I'm all for something a little different.

It looks like the VLE deal fell through. The article does mention the craft distillery but then states it probably won't be permitted. I hope they can find a buyer who will keep the house and gardens! VLE article

I noticed last weekend that paper is now covering the windows of John's Country Kitchen and the tattoo shop beside Twenty Two. I have no idea what is going in there. Also, the buildings behind the DQ are about to be renovated. The only new addition I know of is a juice shop but I am not sure of the location.

So if we vote it down, our loss should be Raleigh's gain? I would be happy for Raleigh but that would probably prevent us from having a team in the future.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but it seems like Manor and Park is renovating the old church across from Whiskey Warehouse. It looks like it will be restaurant space. I can't click on the actual project in the link. Manor and Park projects Also, I haven't seen any progress with Sushi Guru. I hope this is still happening.

Agree on the Hardware store. I think one could work at the strip mall on Eastway where the Chef's Store is located. I would like another gym too. Also, any news on the VanLandingham? I assume it sold.
