Does anyone have an idea when Harris Teeter will open? I noticed that the signage is up. Also Beadlush moved out of the building next to Whiskey Warehouse. I wonder if they will do something else with that property.

Thanks! I think I will like this. I like amount of windows and how the apartments face Uptown. Heard a rumor of another restaurant on Commonwealth across from the Penguin. See what happens.

I was wondering about the fencing too. I wonder if it has something to do with city permits. I talked to the owners of Volume lounge one night and it took them forever to be able to light up the sign on Commonwealth due to permits. It's just a guess though.

Good work! It seems like that could work. There would be two more railroad crossings but that would be ok. Plus it may divert some traffic off of Central. My other wish would be to convert Kelly Tire? into a restaurant or shop. It's sort of an eyesore on Central and it is in a prime location.

I don't see Sherwin Williams being redeveloped. I would love for the shopping center to be torn down. I wish the stores were street facing with parking in the back. I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Does anyone have renderings of The Nook apartments? Also, I really like how the streetscaping is creating patios for the Diamond and Common Market.

Agree..... this is a really sad incident. Hopefully it won't deter others from cleaning up the area. The other side of Parkwood is seeing a good amount of tear downs/renovations. Belmont still has the issue where there are way too many rentals.

Midwood Smokehouse looks good from the outside. It seems like this area keeps getting better. However, I wonder when they will have to tackle the parking problem.

I love it. Much better than the old Teeter and I love the look at the corner of Central/Plaza.

There is a sign up at the old Sole saying it will be a pizza place and is now hiring. Also, the Picasso's sign was taken down and now it is Sutton House. I am not sure why that happened.

I saw that too. I came here to see if the news was already out. I would think it has something to do with improving Uptown?

The fences are up and East Blvd Bar and Grill is already torn down. That was earlier this week so maybe all four buildings are down along East by now. I wonder what they will do with this land while they wait to get funding for the school?

Heard a rumor that Sole is going to be a new pizza place.

I went to MM last night and the area is much better than I expected. I could see this area pick up with pedestrian activity when the weather warms up. The area has great street level shops in a continuous fashion. It does put East Blvd to shame. East still would be much better if someone would knock down Blockbuster and put something up to mirror Latta. One day!

That is some pretty cool data. I was a little surprised to see that Atlanta/Dallas had greater concentrations than DC/Chicago. It may be b/c they "gay" areas in DC/Chicago are now too expensive for the average person. I would think some areas in Charlotte would have a little more than 4% though.

I noticed today that the Deck closed on East Blvd. There is already a sign up saying it will be a Boardwalk Billy's. -
It's about time that Charlotte gets a Whole Foods. I hope it actually happens this time.

I hope it is a Container Store. Charlotte needs one. I think one is about to open near Crabtree Valley in Raleigh.

Not sure if this goes here but the Jack in the Box in Dilworth closed. This is the one connected to the Shell Station. Maybe something better will go in there. I used to love it when they had the 24 hour drive thru! -
