I love seeing it along 840 coming into Williamson County from Rutherford County. I can't help but to think "Hark thou! Behold! For you enter into the county of Williamson. Take off your shoes"

I look at that list and think, "it must be great to be an old person who loves walking around old buildings!" When visiting family friends at Fairfield Glade in Crossville (a mega empty-nester community) I remember seeing all these bus-tour events that traveled to Nashville to hit many of those spots above, especially the Country Music Hall of Fame. While I think this is a great list for out of towners, Nashville doesn't offer much for families. The Zoo is pretty good (twice a year MAX) and the Science Center needs to update their exhibits. I know I am preaching to the choir here... but if we still had Opry Land that would have brought so many families back into Nashville and with the growth in tourism and population to the mid-state... who knows what hotel growth that would have created. Think about it for a moment... when Opry Land was big, downtown Nashville was still sketchy and didn't draw a lot of tourists. NOW look at Nashville. With the influx of 20-somethings and it becoming a "destination city", Opry Land would be a MASSIVE success. You'd think many more hotels would be needed... maybe the ones built recently would be taller? Anyways... I know no one will build an amusement park from scratch these days but it would be so successful in Nashville.

Inner Loop - CBD, Downtown, East Bank, Germantown, Gulch, Rutledge

"Looking at the HUGE stage / staging area the NFL is constructing along the Cumberland bank, I actually look at it and think, "Wow...what would our riverfront park be like if we actually had that large of an area for food trucks, tents, sitting areas, etc?" I'm telling you, this is a huge wasted opportunity here. Any of us could draw up better plans than what are there now. It's great for concerts (when they happen) but the street level area is wasted. -
Totally manufactured. If ANYONE believes that any of these reality shows are “real”, I’ll buy you a Build-A-Bear from 5th and Broad.

Hey they’ve got a good Mexican restaurant there.

I actually think it's great for Nashville. I see this stuff every day downtown and everyone is having such a great time. Bachelorettes, bachelors, visiting fans, professionals with convention center badges still hanging from their necks, old people pushing the grave... I just smile and hope they go get to go home and talk to their friends and family about how amazing of a city Nashville is.

They are widening the intersection to provide some turn lanes and put a “real” traffic light. Oh, and a Sonic.

840 between 24 and 65 is horrible now. Just volume and the hilly elevations that slow truckers down... 840 could use a widening but TDOT told me there are no plans for that.

Driving in Atlanta is no fun... but one of my favorite things when passing through on I-75 is how the skyline is parallel with the interstate really showcasing the buildings. I feel like this part of the loop in Nashville is turning into a canyon of mid-rises that really gives that feel that you're actually driving through a "downtown". This, with the other planned buildings along this stretch, is making for a cool inner city feel.

Nah they’ve been installing this things for months. They started on the inside tunnel last year. -
I don’t know how. I don’t know why. But those massive potters with those nasty trees have an irrigation system in them. I’ve seen the one at the 2nd ave entrance on before.

MCC continues to fortify every possible entrance-way with the concrete buried pillars. Same sort of stuff they’re putting on Broadway. Not sure why they’re doing this at every nook. -

...what happens if it's cold, windy and rainy? I thought these things were always indoors?!

Oh my god these are trees. I’ve seen many of trees cut down for development. Huge ones. Blossoming ones. A whole bunch hiding the homeless around the fort. And guess what? Big ones will come down if Tony gets to build his massive tower. What the hell am I missing here? Is the media that bored or are we all just looking for something else to b*tch about??

I know it's easy to just think of the bachelorettes and country music bumpkins walking downtown. But there's more to it than that. Think of the convention center attendees. Sometimes I see hundreds of them downtown in business attire and lanyards. Think of visiting fans watching the Titans or Preds. Every home game still brings dozens (if not hundreds) of visiting fans each and every game. CBD workers... It's kind of like a cruise: they have an art gallery and unique jewelry shops. Why? Because people on vacation tend to spend money. So I think an Apple Store makes sense. Just as much as an H&M given they're catering to a much smaller demographic. (Young women)
