  1. IMO the following should happen... Panthers get a dome, MLS team expansion in the new dome, Hornets stay put at Spectrum Center, the Charlotte Hurricanes (move from Raleigh) begin play at Spectrum Center, BB&T gets expanded to support the Charlotte Athletics (move from Oakland), and NASCAR has a resurgence with all corporate operations consolidating in Charlotte... #goals
  2. Yea I’m not excited anymore about this being a gym lol
  3. Is it isdeal for the location and give uptown needs retail, no, of course not. However, independently of there being a need for retail in uptown, an equinox would be great for Charlotte and it is in a great spot
  4. Then I guess it’s staying forever cause the parking deck is going to block and prevent someone to remove it lol
  5. They’re not gonna remove the Panthers sign first??
  6. Not CLT news but Raleigh announced today that Spirit will begin service to/from RDU to Baltime, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, New Orleans, Orlando all on May 2nd... RDU already has Allegiant and Frontier. It would be great if CLT could attract Spirit to bring prices down and I hope they don’t fly out of concord like Allegiant does
  7. I totally agree with everything you said, what an amazing opportunity it would be to have this amazing museum in uptown
  8. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.charlotteobserver.com/news/business/article224298985.html The aviation museum is needing to move from its current location... how great would this museum be if they found a way to move it uptown, what a great tourist attraction it would be. Gets about 70,000 visitors annually
  9. Scroll down to page 295 of this document and you can see all of the different terminal configuration options... http://www.cltairport.com/AboutCLT/Documents/Development Master Plan/CLT ACEP 02232016 - FINAL.pdf
  10. There could always be new development on North Tryon closer to Brookshire
  11. It sort of reminds me of a SimCity building lol... but I still like it
  12. That’s great, the current ones are very small. I was in Vegas a month ago and they were restricting the amount of people that could enter the lounge
  13. Are you sure about the 13k square feet?? That would make it the largest centurion by far... Dallas is 8984 square feet
  14. In an ideal world the Vizion Church and Aquatic Center could be moved and that whole area could be expanded for the convention center with a spot for that 1000 room hotel
  15. I feel like Concourse A North still has a little room for more flights... if really needed by AA, couldn’t they just use the city owned gates?? Just a thought
  16. Love the look of this building... can’t wait to see a zoomed out rendering with the hotel and tryon place fully visible... for some reason I’m having a hard time visualizing the placement of the hotel and how it will fit overall in the site
  17. There’s Ink n Ivy, that’s sort of like a nightclub, I even think they do bottle service too... also that club on top of the meridian. Also, I think Suite will probably convert into another themed nightclub, I live in Miami now and I see this all the time with clubs down here... after a couple of years the owners will rebrand the club to keep it fresh, probably the same thing is going on in Charlotte
  18. I think they need to limit the clubs to the upper level and have retail on the bottom floors... epicenter really only needs two or three bars/clubs... there are so many other nightclubs in uptown and music factory...
  19. They probably figured they would just route passengers through Phoenix... but Charlotte did get a nice add in Rapid City, South Dakota
  20. https://www.charlotteagenda.com/140049/kings-mountain-catawba-indian-nation-casino/ latest from this project... haven’t heard anything from my contacts about this project lately
  21. Wow, once this building actually gets built, it will have been worth the wait... all praise the glorious infill!
  22. It’s not a splashy announcement but it’s still a new destination... Yearly Saturday service to New Haven, Connecticut starts later in the year.
  23. How many floors did the law school have?
