  2. and the answer to the question above An Atlanta group is proposing a new 300-unit apartment complex on a vacant waterfront tract off Manufacturers Road and adjacent to downtown Chattanooga's burgeoning North Shore. https://outline.com/s6W5SJ
  3. This lot on Manufacturers Rd is up for rezoning soon to UGC, I’ve seen core drilling on site. I’m a bit curious what is going on here.
  4. $15 million project proposed on Chattanooga's North Shore with apartments, offices https://www.google.com/amp/s/sports.yahoo.com/amphtml/15-million-project-proposed-chattanoogas-050100048.html Mar. 12—A developer is planning new apartments, offices and possible retail space in the heart of Chattanooga's North Shore in a $15 million project. The former long-time Chattanooga Printing and Engraving Building at 110 Somerville Ave. would hold office space and a three-level addition for 21 apartments, said Matt McGauley, president of developer Fidelity Trust Co. Haven’t seen this picture posted before either but development plans for St. Elmo I haven’t heard much about this in awhile Also there are rumors or an urban Target off of Main St. on the Southside.
  5. New Law Enforcement Training Center Slated For Tract On Amnicola Highway Across From Lake Junior https://www.chattanoogan.com/2021/3/12/424818/New-Law-Enforcement-Training-Center.aspx?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook The wooded site near Highway 153 has long been owned by TVA. The City Council on March 23 is to consider a resolution for the city to pay TVA up to $100,000 for administrative costs of TVA transferring the property to the city and county. The resolution refers to "the pending acquisition" of the property. The current police firing range is on Moccasin Bend..... I’m glad to get this off Moccasin Bend so the National Park and be built out and completed but I don’t know if this is the best location.... I guess the price was right.
  6. They have cleared a part of the parking lot to the entrance of Alstom for that medical building so it has begun. Next time I get out on a bike ride I’ll take some shots as a pass through Alstom and Foundry sites, the riverwalk brings you right under the giant riverport crane. Highly recommend renting an electric bike from Bike Chattanooga and cruising that portion of the riverwalk one day
  7. The River walk from Cameron Harbor/Spring Hill Suites all the way past Alstom and Foundry sites have been open for a couple of years, it ends at behind Crust Pizza there on Broad St, if you haven’t been on that portion yet it’s super awesome, the trail is a bit wider and getting close to this factory sites are awesome. Here are a few photos from a hill next to that portion of the riverwalk, based on your description I wasn’t sure if you were aware it was open already. It looks like they city is accepting bids for the last segment from its current ending behind Crust to the incline railway, they just did this a couple of weeks ago. As an avid cyclist I use that portion of the riverwalk weekly to ride from North Chatt to St. Elmo to connect with the Guild Trail up Lookout which allows me to ride 30 miles or more
  8. Thanks for the picture tour, the development of the “west side” over the past few years is astounding. The city as a whole is growing rapidly and the housing market is out of control. Driving through North Chatt just the other day I was amazed at all the new huge homes that are being squeezed into every buildable lot on every hillside. Highway 27 is awesome now, no traffic ever. Has the city announced when they are going to finish that stretch of River walk into St. Elmo? I ride my bike that way often and really look forward to that being built out, I wish they would connect it to the Guild Trail for a seamless connection of trails.
  9. And Austin FC finishing touches as well...some really nice soccer specific stadiums coming to MLS...I’m guessing our stadium will look a lot like Austin’s when it’s finished
  10. Finishing touches being put on FC Cincinnati’s new stadium
  11. I check this camera a couple of times a week and it’s amazing how busy this construction site is. Based on the timeline that was last released this thing will really start taking shape over just the next couple of months!
  12. Much of the work on the ground remains the same this week, though we have started some masonry structure installation. Next week, we will be bringing a large crawler crane to the site for some steel work. ADA wall construction continues. These walls are for the viewing platforms for those with disabilities. Continued work to build beams, foundations and retaining walls. Distributed antenna systems (DAS) installation, which makes it possible to get cell service inside the stadium. A range of deep and shallow underground work continues, including plumbing, storm install and electrical work throughout the site. Pouring continuous wall footings, terrace footings and player bench footings. Daily street sweeping on Benton Ave., Bransford Ave., Rains Ave. and Wedgewood Ave. near the entrances to the site.
  13. Canopy covering both the sidelines with expanded concourses on all three levels would be amazing, more food and beverage options. Look at pictures of the Seahawks stadium, that’s what we should be shooting for. After going to Mercedes Benz in Atlanta last year you realize how bare bones Nissan stadium is.
  14. I wonder the time table is like with this project with our hopes of hosting World Cup matches I’m sure FIFA would want the renovations complete and a renovated stadium would really help our chances. I hope this is a good plan for the city, with the financial issues the city has and the global pandemic, announcing a bad financial plan right now would be a really bad look.
