I’ve been watching ticket sales every few days, the upper deck on the one side is about 2/3 to 3/4 full at this point. There has been a huge uptick in sales following the stadium announcement this week. If the weather is good which it’s currently looking clear but cold I could easily see 60,000+

They have to create revenue different ways, with only one commercial break during a game they have to be a bit more creative and having an advertiser on your jersey is a huge way to create revenue.

I’ll be coming from Chattanooga, I hope they can sell out Nissan, even if it means there are 30,000 Atlanta United fans, it will be quite the atmosphere and a great way to kick off for NSC. Hopefully Nashville stays competitive in this one.

1. 27 is entering the final stages now, the bridge expansion is almost done, most of the lanes and exits are done, the only thing left is to finish the bridge over the 4th street exit and straighten the highway around the lookouts stadium, they are getting there but work seems to have slowed quite a bit recently. 2. No new high rises that I have heard. I hold out hope for a new decently tall hotel in the future or a bank that wants to expand but nothing that I’ve heard. 3. and high speed rail has been talked about and studied to death, just fund it and build it. I would go to ATL all the time if I could just hop on a train that took me to a Marta train station.

Yeah if MARTA ran out to braves stadium, Marietta and Kennesaw areas I would likely make the trip to Atlanta from Chattanooga often if I could park in Kennesaw and ride a train to Falcons and Atlanta United games. They really need to get that area of town some mass transit.

So I went to the Titans-Falcons game in Atlanta yesterday and for the first time ever I had a pleasant travel experience in that city, mostly thanks to my decision to use MARTA to and from the stadium. Free parking at the station, 5 dollar round trip ticket, no waiting in traffic. Nashville really dropped the ball not getting rolling a real transit plan. I went from the stadium to my house in Chattanooga in two hours in both directions. Also side note, that stadium is beautiful and completely crushes Nissan, the whole tailgate and game day experience was far superior. Now if we could only get highspeed rail to Atlanta so I wouldn’t even have to drive my car(I can dream right)
