MLS is currently a Ponzi scheme, $150 million dollar fee(now even more) to enter a league that doesn’t make money? TV viewership is laughable. Owners and league only making money off entrance fees and SUM. Most teams in MLS and USL are losing tons of money every year. The saving grace will hopefully be the new TV deal in 2022, without a good deal it will be hard for the league to continue to grow.

Gonna need an attendance boost to fill that stadium. Red Wolves have been a horribly run franchise from the beginning. Tried to destroy CFC, tried to steal CFC Academy, supporters group wanting to bring nooses to intimidate opposing players and ultimately not building downtown. It will be interesting to see how many people want to go to East Ridge for a soccer game when there is already an established pro team downtown. They have an uphill battle, it will be interesting to see how big of a boost a new stadium will give them, because they sure need it. I’m a bit biased obviously but I have a friend on the Red Wolves coaching staff and hope both teams can be successful and carve out their niche.

The logo is much better on the new hats released a couple of weeks ago, remove the octagon and it looks much better.

So is that tiny spot next to the bridge that’s not blocked off the land that was being disputed? If so whoever the owner is isn’t very smart.- 1,920 replies

We can’t support two teams, it will be interesting if this comes to fruition, Red Wolves attendance is in the 100’s despite what they announce at a match plus there is already questioning about building in a protected wetland, it will be interesting as to how it all works out, but I don’t know anyone wanting to go to East Ridge for anything. http://www.chattanoogapulse.com/columns/shades-of-green/a-water-management-threat/ also read this thread about the bad blood between the teams

I’m glad they fought it and got a better design, wish more people had done the same in North Chatt when Publix was announced. That area of South Broad is prime for more development.

Give me a roof over Nissan all day over a baseball team. I played A LOT of baseball in my day and you couldn’t pay me to watch a game, I haven’t watched more than two outs of a baseball game in 15 years. Sooo boring, crowds are lifeless, game is long and slow.

Never thought I would see the day this actually began. Unfortunate in some aspects because some of that beautiful country side off Del Rio will never look the same and I’m sure will fall victim to development itself. Having grown up along Del Rio I will miss being able to drive along the “back roads” without any traffic.
