  1. Originally, I would have said I liked the integrated forum the best. But there are so many NWA topics! NWA needs its own forum. :-)
  2. Welcome! This should be interesting.... Woohoo for central Arkansas.
  3. I must say, even amidst the dark clouds, that Little Rock skyline looks great. Ok, so I'm biased...
  4. No, no. I like to keep my dreams and goals realistic. :-D
  5. Very cool. I would like to make a move downtown eventually. Finally another Little Rocker. Mith and mcheiss seem to add 20 posts per topic everyday and makes for a helluva lot of reading about NWA...it's about time we get some more balance.
  6. Same here, Central. I've only been through a few times, and I swear to this day, Fort Smith is the ugliest place I've ever been to.
  7. Hot Springs, anyone? The first is magic springs theme park, the second is downtown, the third is lake hamilton.
  8. Once I-49 is built, its tourism numbers will probably increase exponentially. I've been there a few times, and they always seem to have a decent number of people. This map is centered on Mena...Queen Wilhelmina is on the ridge to the northwest: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Mena,+AR&spn...04890&t=k&hl=en I-49 should cut through the ridge. Rich Mountain is like 70-80 feet shorter than Mount Magazine.
  9. Queen Wilhelmina State Park (one of my favorites)....by the AR Dept. of Tourism
  10. I must say, I have never seen so many projects announced in such a short time in Central Arkansas (on this large of a scale). Great time to be an Arkansan.
  11. Another Picture: (on top of mount magazine)
  12. This is my favorite picture of Little Rock: But since it's in my sig, it doesn't count. This is a picture I took over a year ago hiking on top of mount magazine:
  13. On the same land as the NLR ballpark? Yeah, I'm definitely glad the ballpark got the land instead. things worked out for the better in the end!
  14. Haha. All these different policies for different counties/cities/stores? Wow.
  15. Huh? The wal- mart here in hot springs sells liquor. I'm pretty sure they all do (in wet counties)..... I walk by the alcohol section every time when on my way to the energy drinks.
  16. True....a light rail project would be much more feasible in Little rock.... but that's never going to happen!
  17. This is the rendition of the Light house point marina: It's actually here, at http://downtownlittlerock.com/page.cfm?StoryID=6, a website that was made years ago by the Arkansas Times. I thought the project had been canned....i'm glad to see they're still looking into it. Part of the text (refer to link above for full article):
  18. I chose light rail, although I admit the expansion of i-540 would be more realistic. I do think that urban developments would be built along the light rail, if it were ever to be built.
  19. Oh...... look at little rock! we only have 3! we're always forgotten! i just wish we got more recognition.... i feel so neglected. .... this board has been overtaken. just kidding. but 5 from the NWA metro. Hot Damn.
  20. Great link. This definitely deserves its own thread.
