  1. Lol. Very inefficient indeed.
  2. Lol. Well, that's definitely part of it.
  3. There's an average of 34 posts per thread.
  4. Metropolitan tower looks good.
  5. Oh, I don't doubt that there are many creatures (esp. in the ocean) that exist and haven't been discovered. Giant squids were repeatedly seen by many witnesses. That's the difference. Giant squids were eventually documented in some form or fashion. The issue I had with the article is how it tried to paint scientists. As all scientists should, these scientists wanted more evidence before declaring, "OMG !!111!! wwee D1sc0v3red a PLEOSAUR! ROck On d00ds!" If some amateur naturalist had seen the ivory billed woodpecker, and wasn't really able to realize the significance of it.........then its existence would never have been confirmed.
  6. Wow....not only this "article" against evolutionists----it's for mythical creatures as well! Scientists claimed it could be a "badly decomposed basking shark": But those crazy evolutionists just refuse to see the truth! This one specimen caught in the 1970s was CLEARLY a plesiosaur.
  7. Cool, it almost looks like you cut out the sky in the background (it's completely white).
  8. Somebody's probably posted these photos of the Alotian club already, but I'll do it again. They're from Arkansas Business and Golf Digest. As you probably recall, the Alotian was ranked the #1 private course of 2005.
  9. Mith, pinnacle mountain: It's the really beautiful mountain you see when crossing the I-430 bridge to Maumelle (or Little Rock) over the Arkansas River.
  10. That's a great shot, but it's not from the summit. It's from the rock slide about half way up the mountain. I've hiked the mountain several times, so I'm almost 100% sure of it.
  11. Glad you made it over bigboyz. I invited a few of the arkansas members from skyscrapercity over here (arkansasbuff was another, and two others). I've invited people from other forums too, but they usually don't come over (or if they do, the post only a few times). As you can tell, I get pretty jealous of the Texarkana, TX side.
  12. I can safely assume that all these projects are taking place on the Texas side, unless specifically noted otherwise, right? Congratulations Texarkana, TX, you are growing quite fast. Meh.
  13. Hehe. I was kidding (sort of). I forgot to put a smiley face on my previous post to indicate it was a joke (again, sort of). :-p
  14. I agree with GSCullum. There really isn't enough posts to warrant quarantining a Little Rock forum. I think the NWA forum was just to separate the incessant posting on everything happening in Northwest Arkansas.
  15. And thus the oversimplification process begins. Clinton never received more than half the vote. True. But Bush and Kerry did not have a major third party candidate in the battle (like Ross Perot). Out of the two available candidates, Bush got the majority. The 50% mark means nothing. (Besides that, Gore had a higher popular vote in 2000.) True, Clinton often had approval ratings around 40%.....in the beginning of his first term. Clinton AND Reagan had ~60-70% approval ratings at this point in their second terms. In my opinion, it's amazing Bush even has 37% approval. So the question is: Can someone give Bush a blowjob already so that we can impeach him? (Forget the war and 8 trillion dollar deficit http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?...&sn=003&sc=910) As for the Bush library, I could see it get a high attendance or a low attendance. Bush supporters are the most stalwart of all political supporters. They will support him no matter the situation (he's just human after all, guffaw!) Plus he is a pretty controversial guy. Then again, maybe he has such a low approval rating that not so many people will be interested.
  16. Well, when I did initially ask...nothing happened for months. Then Mith and Arkansawyer came along to back me up .....and then the AR forum was borne.
  17. Weee.... i didn't notice :-D I'm really proud of the Arkansas forum, Mith and Matt particularly. Yes, yes, I must brag: I was the first member of Urbanplanet from Arkansas. Eerr...at least the ffirst active one. Hhehe. I haven't been too active lately though....too hectic of a schedule.
  18. Finally! I mean, congratulations :-D
  19. I'm totally 100% for a NWA forum. They have a large active base and can chat incessantly about topics that really don't have that much of an effect on me :-D . I'm not so sure about a Little Rock forum...when something is mentioned about LR, it mainly is something fairly big.....so there is not as much discussion. I'm indifferent on Little Rock.....subforum or not works.
  20. Northwest Arkansas works. Or maybe "Northwest Arkansas Metro" so that it's more descriptive.
