Can't wait until these banks are fighting between each other like BofA and Wachovia in Charlotte.Would love to see 40+ story highrises built in the Greenville market.

I think some of you finally got your wish. As i drove by the BB&T building today it appeared that work had started on the fountain site across from the Heritage Green site. A backhoe was onsite and some grading was taking place.

I noticed SYS had began work on the statue garden the retaining wall footing was being excavated and the footing for the statue was also being excavated.

The entire area from Cherrydale to downtown seems to have a new intrest with developers.I hope this area gets totally redeveloped because it is an important entrance to downtown.

I drove by this area today and SYS constructors now has a sign up and construction fence is also up.What does this project acually entail. I heard a sculpture garden, but has anyone seen a rendering of what this will look like. I also have one more question what happened to the fountain project that is supposed to go at the BB&T building across from the library.

I also agree, but the trees that are there are not in very good shape I think they need to remove the existing trees and grade the slope along 85 to get a good veiw of this project. I think that they should be made to replant a new tree for every one that they take down and this should make everyone happy.

I have thought the same thing seems like not very many people are posting as usual.I try to post as aoten as i can but mostly enjoy reading and learning of the events and projects related to Greenville.I hope some more projects get off the ground soon to boost everyones "moral".

It's been a while since i looked at the Charleston forum,this is great news for Charleston and the entire state. South Carolina seems to be turning around. More and more companies are choosing to locate here.

Wouldn't it be nice to wake up tomorrow and the crane be put together on one of these sites.I know that sounds crazy but it would be nice to even see it sitting in the parking lot.

You are correct about stock splitting but I think that you are also wrong, when the stock splits it brings the cost back down so more people invest driving the companys profits back up and making the person whos stock split more money. I quess it's a perception thing many people will not buy high cosing stock no matter how good it's doing, but when the price is lower people tend to buy more.

Looking at the painting on the road it appears they plan to shift the center line of the road.I could be wrong though,but that's what CL means.

That would be great until Greenville lost then I dont know if I would be so happy about it. I know thats a double standard but who can blame me no one want's to see their team dressed in floral patterns.

I'm not sure but I think the jobs will be maintenance, landscaping, security,and workers for the golf shops . It should be interesting to see how things work out.This is very good for Greenville.

So if I'm figuring right that is a net gain of over 1000 jobs in about 2 months.That is great for Greenville and the entire upstate.

Doesn't phase 3 sit next to acadamy street. If so what is the height I had originally saw some type of multistory building about the same height as Wachovia place.Is this correct? If so this area will look great with phase 3 on one side of acadamy and The camperdown on the other.It will definitly change the image when you drive down acadamy.
