  1. Art in the Park is Sept. 15 & 16th Also, I saw in Greenville News that they are unveiling a sculpture in Canine Corner in Cleveland Park. Link to article. Surely, that is a typo re: the 54 foot??
  2. Went downtown yesterday for this and was disappointed that nothing was going on! When I got home, I clicked through the link and saw that it was actually at Vaughn's at East North street. Why in the world did they change it from downtown? I thought it was great last year!
  3. Goodness, can we get something from even, say, the 90's? I went to a Poison show back in the 80's. I still have Bret Michael's autograph around somewhere... Seriously, it's good that BiLo Center is getting shows.
  4. Funny. I just used my phone book last night for the first time in a very, very, very long time. My power went out (hence no internet) and I had to call Duke Power to inform them of the power outage.
  5. Aaarrrgh! Give me something new! It's not like Elton hasn't been here before...
  6. Tool is coming to the BiLo center on June 5th. Big.
  7. Yes, thanks very much for the update. I had been wondering when the Publix would open. Can't wait!
  8. Return to the Green is this Sunday, March 11th from 1-6 in Falls Park. The Blarney Bash is on St. Patrick's Day on E. Court Street in front of Connolly's.
  9. They have an awesome pimento cheeseburger!
  10. The Greenville News article had this quote in it: "Kirven said he wasn't at liberty to share details, but he said it involves an expansion of an industry already in the county." The "starts with C" and "Hwy25, manufacturing info" is in the comments section and could be total BS.
  11. Latest hint fr/ the Gville News guy is "Manufacturing facility.... Hwy 25"...
  12. I can think of another place DT that has an upstairs-only location, but is extremely successful...Chicora Alley. Perhaps it is the sign that is perpendicular to the building so you see it as you are walking.
  13. Absolutely not! I'll let the rest of the public beta test it first.
  14. I think I remember someone on this forum saying a coffee place was going in... Port City Java??
  15. This reminds me somewhat of Ten Thousand Villages, without the emphasis on Christianity, perhaps.
  16. Hi nutkitty, Thai at Greenville has yellow curry on their menu. I haven't tried it but I have eaten the red curry there and it's very good. The restaurant is on Pelham near E. North. Other good Thai restaurants (although not sure if they serve yellow curry) are Bangkok Thai also on Pelham but nearer to 85, Thai Restaurant on Augusta Rd., Royal Thai on Mauldin Rd. As you can tell, I am a Thai-food fan. Thanks!
  17. Meant to post this yesterday. I was able to buy a bottle of wine at BiLo on Faris/Pleasantburg on Sunday. I am thrilled with this! When my Charleston buddies come up to visit, they always think Greenville is so backwards not being able to buy beer/wine in the grocery stores on Sundays. http://www.wyff4.com/news/10461436/detail.html
  18. Partial quote from a release from Main Street Events: MAIN STREET EVENTS FORGE MANAGEMENT PARTNERSHIP WITH DRIVE I am so glad that Greenville will be utilizing this and not leaving it totally vacant when it is not in baseball season. I look forward to going to other offerings there!
  19. There will be an encore Main Street Jazz performance on Saturday, November 18th starting at 4:00pm until 9:30pm. http://www.greenvilleevents.com/html/news/...sp?GEINewsID=59
  20. Per RT in the Recent Marketing thread, this is a Steve and Barry's University sportswear.
  21. I've seen it. It's not going in the SIP place. It's in a space facing the Peace Center.
  22. I believe this is the corner where the Goodwill trailer is. I noticed that a billboard sign was being dismantled from there late last week. Also, I think a coffee shop might do OK there since there is the new Greenville Tech housing right around the corner. I agree that it is a nice improvement over what is there now.
  23. The 2007 season schedule has been posted: Link
  24. Gee, I imagine the EMPLOYEES will also feel the pain since they'll have problems getting to work...
