ok, so i had a last minute change of heart and voted whitehouse, but only after reading a bunch of the stuff on cnn.com this morning.

I just went out for lunch and those signs are all over the East Side, nailed to almost every telephone pole on Benefit, and bilingual ones near the polling place in Fox Point (yes, I had Wings-to-Go for lunch).

The signs themselves are underhanded and misleading, but, I have to admit, a pretty crafty campaign tactic. Interesting to see if they succeed.

These questions (13 and 14) are really about shifting control of the pension board away from labor appointees and in favor of management. At present, the City has a remarkably high percentage of cops and fire fighters out on disability pensions.

I would imagine that David, with an eye to his political future, prefers to remain in labor's good graces and hence remained mum on these two questions.

Well Channel 10 is saying that Whitehouse will win, but figuring that A) the polls have been closed four an astounding 20 minutes, and B) that they can't freaking tell me if the sun will shine tomorrow, I'm going to wait a bit.

the journal blog has precincts reporting, and so does the one front page (the gov, the ballot measures, fed. offices etc) at the board of elections. Nothing so far, at 10 after 10 for Providence. Has it really NOT reported yet?

maybe it's because you're the only one who looks there for this rather than the news media like everyone else.

550 precincts in at 11. Only close race is Fogarty & Carcieri, and that is starting to break open.

This is getting close, there are also 16,000 absentee ballots out.
