The Developers of Thornton Park Central Offerd to the owners of the 7-11 to build or renovate that building. But the Owners declined the offer.

that sucks, didnt know that. why the hell not! nothing wrong with having a 7-11 there, but for gods sake it sticks out like a sore thumb. It really wouldnt take much to renovate the outside appearance.

If you are saying that the developers offered to pay in full for the renovations, then the owner of 7-11 has to be the biggest idiot to walk the face of this planet.

Not at all.... they do a killing just as they are... think about the amount of business they would have lost due to a rebuild or renovation.

Just like the when developers mowed down uptown in the 1980s

there was also an office bldg. on Orange north of Colonial that was demoed in the late '90's. it looked like a govt. bldg.; like it was clad in soapstone or grey marble or something. it was like 3-4 stories or taller. it became a parking lot. Anyone know what bldg. this was?
