By that I mean.... Chinese govt. is paying the bill for Google to be there. If a company uses Google's services to be the search engine for just their own website, then I'm sure they can have certain terms or pages off limits.

But, I don't think this GR development is anything like that. This town has grown cautiously in the past.

wood-tv reported that he is gr del.

http://www.pogolaw.com/people-attorneys-profile-974.html

google him and see where he came from

of interest , what's the real story?

Are you trying to be cryptic, repetitive, or just confusing?

I'm trying to determine if I need a tinfoil hat, a secret decoder ring, or a translator to decipher your message.

Google would certainly be interesting. I read recently that they have over 100 projects being developed that are top secret to anybody not actually working on the project.

They encourage their engineers to spend at least 15% of their time at work coming up with crazy ideas that have nothing to do with "searching."

As far as millionaires...1000 google employees became millionaires when the company went public!

Google employees became paper millionaires. Pretty much useless.

And about 650 of them just became "thousandaires" again today.

Put Google out of your mind. They wouldn't sneeze in the direction of the midwest in their current environment.

Obviously a 1 day event on wallstreet should be taken with a grain of salt.

And why would they not be interested in GR? They are into urban renewal, they've recently purchased similar land, they aren't into high rises, they are into dark fiber, there are a LARGE # of students within 200 miles of grand rapids.... There are plenty of tax incentives to bring jobs to michigan and grand rapids, they are into VoIP, they are into digitizing the entire library at UofM which they don't currently have enough room in Ann Arbor for, they are getting into BioInformatics.. West Michigan is dumping lots into BIO R&D.......

yeah, I don't see what GR has to offer...

You should open up a Grand Rapids Kool Aid stand.

Don't shout yourself hoarse cheering us on to the Googlers.

Well, I'm just cheering on the people that could come to GR.. I have no idea who might neither do 98% of the people posting here.. For all I know the queen of england could be building herself a summer castle here... If you look over my previous posts in this thread, I've thrown out Trump.. Toyota.. Google.. all very viable people...

In other news.. anyone else notice Larry Page's dad was a MSU Computer Science Prof? :whistling:
