Louisiana City Skylines

I guess this is kind of unconventional, but I thought it would be interesting to compare individual buildings. I wanted to see what everyone thinks of the two new soon to be tallest buildings in the world(at least currently). As we all know Dubai has been doing some amazing things including Al Burg and Burj Dubai so I tohught it would be fun to put them in a dual.

Burj Dubai (Dubai Tower)

Height:2300-3100 feet

Floors:160-200

Al Burg (The Tower)

Since no information has been given on it yet I will go be it's successor "The Pinnacle".

Height:2400+

Floors:120+

I've never seen those particular renderings of these two buildings, but they're both very nice. I'm more of a Burj Dubai fan, even though they both amaze me.

Dubai, in general, amazes me beyond belief.

Haha, you guys know I was just kidding. Shreveport's skyline is awesome for a city of its size, and I'm a very big fan of it. Brian knows, as I've said it many times. It's definately the second best skyline in the state, IMO.

But I couldn't remember, who had the best skyline, again? :dontknow:

Just kidding, just kidding. ;)

Is your memory that short, Nate? Everyone knows it's Monroe.

You know, that is funny because I lived in Monroe for 5 years and the skyline is pitiful there. I actually had lunch with 2 of my friends (that are brothers) from Monroe today at Gumbo Daddy's. We talked a lot about the development of SBC and lack there of in Monroe. Check the SBC development thread for more because I don't want to detract from the skyline talk.

My vote was Monroe too; over Alexandria and Lake Charles for Top Skyline.

Baton Rouge with it's malnutritioned skyline took 4th place!

Houma's skyline get's an honorable mention.

that's the bad thing about online forums. you can never tell when someone is being serious. gosh i hope you're kidding :P

well EVERYONE knows MY vote for #2 skyline is....(drum roll)...LEESVILLE.

Leesville

So let me get this straight, Dan; You're saying that Mound, Louisiana has a better skyline than Dubia, a type of grass that grows in North Africa? :dontknow:

What are you talking about!?!? ;)
