Since our moderator took us off topic i'm gonna keep it going . What is the story with the top level of Star Tower? Is it helicopter parking? Or did they just want to showcase their mechanical floor?

The floor under the pool is the one i'm talking about. At night you can't miss it, it is unoccupied and lit up like a parking garage. I'm doing a horrible job describing it.

You would expect at this level of design that a detail of that magnitude would have been incorporated better.

they should do it like Hancock in Chicago, where the mechanical floor is lit so bright you could see it in Indiana.

Visited STAR today. Saw 2 units and roof top pool. Very nice. Check it out. I was told closing have begun and one unit is moved in.

Interesting. Orlando will have TWO rooftop pools in it's inventory (Star and Dynetech). I don't think Miami has even one (save for garage-top pools). And if that is the case, it's b/c of the weather I'm sure.

Royal Palm Historic Creations Report Sales of Half of Condominiums at Star Tower Closing Units Now

Royal Palm and Historic Creations Design and Development Group, which developed the Star Tower luxury condominium on Jackson and Osceola Streets in downtown Orlando, report they have completed construction of over half of the units and have begun closing on sales of condominium units. They expect to complete closings on half of the 100 condominiums by the end of the year.

Took a tour of Star Tower today. My impression is that it is absolutely FANTASTIC! The finishes are great, floor plans very liveable and overall feel superior to others. The pool on the roof (along with gym and gives the impression that you are in south beach or similar. Its GREAT. Sorry, I didnt take any pics. If I get up there again this week I will certainly grab a few.

Strange little bit of wasted space between the glass and outside column in the great room picture. Should have moved the wall out to meet the column in just that little space. It would have cost nothing and created a small nitch for a bookcase or someplace to install an electric or cable outlet.

The roof was great, a nice breeze blowing the whole time and the turnout for the party was good. Can anyone figure out why the pool did not have a city view?
