Still looks bad. The positioning of the building gives it a “tower in the park” feel, with no connection to the sidewalk whatsoever. Recladding that in glass will not improve it.

Would have liked to see them expand the building to the corner and maybe add ground floor retail to part of it.

It's certainly better than the concrete bunk that's there currently.  Were'n't they trying to lure a corporate headquarters there?  That block and the block to the east are just horrible reminders of urban renewal

I’m wondering if this is somewhat of a speculative rendering by to attract potential tenants. Could be altered in the future. 
 

id love to see some shuffling of office space in buildings and see a couple of these older building get converted to mixed use/residential. Always thought this building might be skinny enough to be a good residential conversion candidate.

They seriously need to do something with that parking lot behind it. That thing has been there 50 years and should not be the thing bordering a supposed "plaza".

Exactly. Add a few floors, bring the building closer to the street... Boom.
