Governor Youngkin has been doing a lot of damage in Virginia. He recently vetoed a gradual increase of the minimum wage to $15/hr by 2026, vetoed an assault weapon ban and vetoed recreational marijuana sales (marijuana is already legal in Virginia, but selling it is currently not legal).

The plan he was aligned with to move the Capitals to VA was squashed. How much political will does he really have among VA voters?

In Connecticut, police can't pursue stolen vehicles.

they still will be like so:  the stolen vehicle was driving recklessly (when they saw the cops) causing imminent peril to the4 public at large...therefore qualifying as an exigent circumstance justifying the pursuit...

The amount of fake news on Facebook is mind blowing. This "news" article was on my feed for some reason. It claims someone who sang the "black national anthem" was fined $1 billion by the NFL for doing so. Regardless what your feelings are about there being a "black national anthem," you would have to be a potato to actually think someone would get fined such an outlandish amount of money FOR ANYTHING! I don't think any person or company has ever been fined that much money in human history.

none of the major news outlets reported a fine.  why would there be, when that woke organization was behind it in the first place?

but, seriously, you are correct that the $1B fine is ridiculous to consider.

And the NFL chooses who sings (and what).  The fact that people would believe that she randomly decided to sing THAT song over the Anthem and that the NFL didn't know ahead of time is ludicrous, hence the need for a fine.  You don't have to be Alex Jones to either see that or ponder that; its common sense knowing the recent track record of the nfl.

This is what REAL pizza looks like! I had a couple slices of this pizza for dinner tonight. This is from Little City Pizza in Avon, CT. I would consider this a "New Haven style" pizza. Toppings nearly to the edges. Edges lightly charred. Thin crust. Sauce made in house. High quality toppings. I grew up in Connecticut, and this is what I was missing when I lived in Florida. Connecticut is finally starting to get recognized for it’s amazing pizza.

Looks good, but I'm still partial to NY style pizza with no extra toppings.

Just cheese.

A really good pizza not only doesn't need toppings, the toppings actually detract from the flavor of the pie.

JMHO.

have you been to Giordano's pizza?  they do deep dish if you like cheese. but layer it like so: crust, cheese, sauce, toppings...instead of crust, sauce, cheese, etc.  no hidden pockets of burning hot sauce.

I like NY Style as well. I always hit Ray's Pizza when up there.  it's wonderful...  so if you ever go to Gitto's on Orange Ave, it is very similar to a Ray's experience...a narrow floorplan that's deep.  Ray's has some great pizza...

so, did you ever go to The Woods/ The Lodge on Orange Ave? Their kitchen would make a pizza just like that but with ever more peperoni that that.  it was insane...

Puerto Rico's HDI (Human Development Index) is higher than two US states. Puerto Rico's GDP (Gross Domestic Product) is higher than ten US states. All that without having the same advantages of being a US state so if they were admitted they'd likely further improve in these areas and others. I think it's time for Puerto Rico to become our 51st state.

Republicans would never let that happen. They already cannot win the popular vote and must gerrymander districts in their own states to stay in power where they still are somewhat effective.
PR would completely tip the scale and Republicans would be past tense (not a terrible thing though).
