Cherry Bekaert moving into EP 360 building

Building should be fully leased soon.

The building will have 3,000 square feet set aside on the rooftop for space that is open to public events and offers 360-degree views of the city.

The project will also create a public space that connects Main, Falls and Broad streets to McBee Avenue with walking paths.

I'm genuinely surprised that a building would ever even be considered on such a small plot of land, and so close to an existing building. I don't say that negatively either, I'm all for density!

Good to see the infill. I don't like what is being proposed for the Prisma building though.  I like the 'bridge' to the second floor.  That glass box is very bland and detracts from the building itself.  I really wish CAP would give that building a make-over. The McBee side could be a really great restaurant/brewpub space.  YeeHaw is packing them in, so the synergy is a given.

It seems the access to the loading dock of the existing (Prisma) building is gone.

I, too, am pleasantly surprised they are squeezing a building in right there. I wish it were at least 5 stories, but I think it will be a good addition to Spring Street and complement the church next door.

Responding to myself here. I think the marketing package is poorly put together. I don’t think the floor plans are labeled correctly, and it actually DOES claim to be 5 stories (but, that is not reflected in the renderings).
