The LifeWay Building (9 stories, 279,000 sq. ft.) has sold $95 million to RBN Manager LLC.

The new owners sure didn't waste any time -- crews were removing the LifeWay signage from the building this morning.

The Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. will move into a 17,800 sq. ft. space in the 10 story 500 11th Ave. North tower at Capitol View in October. They will move their 67 employees from One Nashville Place. A $1.2 million permit has been issued for Flow construction to handle the build-out.

By the end of 2023, this view will look even more like a downtown with the addition of Gibson Residences, the Marriott Edition hotel, and Gulch Central.

The HCA Parallon Tower (16 stories, 500,000 sq. ft. office space) will have the1st and 4th floors  retrofitted for the HCA Galen College of Nursing operations.  A permit for $2.1 million has been granted for Capitol Construction SVCS of Tennessee to do the work.

Condado Tacos  is opening its Capitol View location at 11th Ave. North and Nelson Merry St. on Aug. 19th. It will be their first Tennessee location, and 26th across the nation.

The Galen College of Nursing is opening its 47,700 sq. ft. campus inside the HCA Tower at 1100 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. (Charlotte Ave.). It will take up the entire 4th floor, and $2.1 million to buildout.

The erosion barriers are going up for the Capital View apartment project at Lifeway Plaza & 10th. This is the Northwood Ravin Project. Permits have been applied for and will be moving forward soon.

The Sarah Cannon Research Institute (10 stories) in the long-range plans, along with another hotel of unknown brand (11 stories).

I seriously doubt it, as the big parking lot has plans and HCA is the one with the plans like is mentioned above. I think there will be an urban Target somewhere in the area before they ever decide to break ground here.

My guess is it would be in the Vanderbilt Grad building or the new Beaman site project.

That'd be a great location for a 'urban' Target.  Back when I was a freshman at Vandy, we'd go to Target (white bridge) at least once a month.  Got to keep your Pop Tarts in stock. OK... and soap and every other thing that was "not cheap" at a "cheap" price. Was that what people used to say?

Met some friends at Condado Tacos for dinner this past friday night and was not expecting how crowded and busy that area is.  Food was good.........but the beer and the atmosphere were great.  The developers filled in that area nicely after HCA and Lifeway HQ's were built.............I'm impressed.
