i thought the Titans were going to get a home playoff game? their site says they'll be on the road against mississippi! what is going on?

The league changed the rules 2 weeks ago to favor Mississippi for the playoffs. It never made any sense to me how Mississippi would have to Travel to Tallahassee to play the Titans for the playoffs anyhow seeing as we were swept by them during the regular season. BUT, I'm comfortable in the Titan's ability to perform against them on the road. If and only if the entire team goes (Dougherty doesn't have to go try out for another team, or something) and if the Officials aren't biased as they were last time these two teams played in Tupelo. I believe the game is this week! I'm very excited. Good to know Tallahassee still has a team vying of a Championship of some sort.

Tallahassee Titans Join the WIFL!

Interesting and I think the WIFL will be a better fit for the Titans, if they can round up a few more teams. Right now the teams are in Tally, Columbus, GA, Augusta, GA, Daytona Bch and Kissimmee. So far all teams are w/in 300 miles of Tally.

Also seems these cities are more inline with Tallahassee as far as size is concerned. I like the presence of the 3 Florida cities also.

Not naming all differences here, but I do know franchise fees differ from the AIFA, game rules may also be slightly modified, and officiating may be regionalized vs the city based officials present in the AIFA.

I think the WIFL will be a better fit than the AIFA. What did Tallahassee have in common with Baltimore/Canton etc. in the AIFA? Not much. I think that this will allow the team to save a lot of $$$ on travel costs and hopefully keep the Titans around for many more years! The AIFA is dead, long live the WIFL!

Looks like the two Georiga WIFL franchises have left the WIFL for the AIFL! It looks like the WIFL (which the Titans only recently joined) will only have TWO teams for the upcoming season. What are the chances that the Titans go back to the AIFL? Or does this signal the end of them? Bad news all around.

What a joke. I am glad I held off on buying season tickets for this year. I am very dissapointed in the Titans ownership. Back to having ZERO options sports wise once the 'Noles are done in Dec/Jan as I am not a basketball fan or metal bat pingball fan. *sigh*

That's not fair to say, Beukeboom. The Tigersharks and the Titans both have received appropriate support from the community. It is not Tallahassee's fault that ownership/management is irresponsible. I feel we've done our part as a community.

I think it has to do more with the ridiculously high rent at the DLCC as discussed previously. Nice to see we're more JV than such fine cities as Columbus, Fayettville and Tupelo!

exactly... as you mentioned, the Civic Center has more to do with it than anything.

^ anything new on this? the Dem ran a story about a ex-football player coming on as an investor awhile back and then nothing... did the Titan rep ever get back to you Florida?
