  1. Ah thanks. I feel like an idiot. As far as Evans Middle goes, my money is on Home Depot.
  2. Does anyone know where that new hamburger place is? I drove all around Evans the other weekend looking for it!!!! Evans is getting too big---I feel like I"m in another town when I'm there.....
  3. 92.9 Dave FM, out of Atlanta. Adult Alternative or whatever. Go ahead, make your jokes!!!!
  4. ^ I was wondering what they were building out there. It looks good.
  5. Pillsbury

    Aiken County

^ Oh no, you don't have to be a paying member I don't think.......
  6. Yeah, I've never understood that either. You'd think we'd have chain restaurants and a Wal-Mart up there by now.
  7. Haha, no I can assure you, this Pillsbury was in full control of his himself. My girlfriend used to live in a neighborhood across the street, so no partying for me. I swear though, it was just like Independence Day---and I secretly wondered if it was going to shoot down a green light and blow West Lake up.
  8. Reminds me of that movie, Batteries Not Included, where the little saucers would fly all over the place, like little hamburgers. Let me just edit this and go out on a limb: I saw a UFO floating over West Lake Country Club in Martinez, Georgia, a couple of years ago. It was just floating above like they were about to beam down and play a round of golf or something. I stared at this "ship" for about ten minutes straight---it didn't move. And then finally I heard this loud noise and it did move, off to the north (both of our airports are to the south). It was freaky.
  9. I don't really doubt that Atlanta is capable of growing at that rate, but it seems to me that Atlanta grows between 90,000 and 120,000 every year for the last few years. Since Atlanta now makes up a little over half of our population, then I would expect it to capture about half the people who moved here, which seems to be the case. I think Augusta, Macon, Columbus, Savannah, et al, are growing at good rates that can compare to most other sunbelt towns. I wish they would. I'm curious. Though I do believe we would still be a fast growing state.
  10. Rossville? It's probably been swalled by Chattanooga!!!
  11. Great developments. Thanks for the link Krazee. Canuk, I agree with you. Those call center jobs (for the most part) do not pay much and they have high turnover from what I've heard.
  12. ^ Sorry Erdogs. Not a lot of people usually read this section. We're not trying to be rude.
  13. Very good news. DaGaBoyStinger definately wins for best prediction in 2006!!! This is great news for Augusta.
  14. Jack Johnson's cool. I'm---or was---listening to Mason Jennings. Similar sound to Jack Johnson.
  15. What I don't understand is that they are going to do these ramps that are flying over Broad and then 15th and over the railroad tracks, and then going into Greene, where you'd take 13th to get to the hospitals? But then there are still railroad tracks in your way???
  16. Are we growing? Are we actually getting a bunch of jobs right now or does it just seem that way to me?
  17. Didn't know where to put this, put here goes: Is there a reason why our Christmas lights have totally sucked for the last three or four years? Are we that poor as a city? What happened to all the other lights they used to use? Did they burn out? Or am I being petty?
  18. Whoa man, I'm definately checking this guy out. I love XTC and the Kinks!!!
  19. Urban Cowboy (not sure how I made that connection, it just popped in my head)
