  1. WOW, a 25 story tower is going to be an amazing site coming out of the midtown tunnel and Hampton Blvd. We are only a month into this year and we have already had a major announcement like this. I can't wait for the next 11 to see what Norfolk has been hiding from us since last year. I sure hope Fraim has some more tricks up his sleeve for his speech today. I'm sorry, I am weak. Admitting there is a problem is the first step to recovery.
  2. I would rather have a Dell store. Anyway good news for Norfolk.
  3. Just don't let us douche bags in Va. Beach vote on it or we'll never see it happen. City council should just shut up and do it...like everything else.
  4. You tell us, after all there is only 1 vdogg.

I had a chance to snap a few pics. of Norfolk today. Understand that today was filled with super high winds and rain so the pictures are not the best.
  6. Why are you guys so afraid to say Roanoke? I know this question is not about VB, but have any of you tried "Fat Burger" over in Chesapeake (Near Sam's Club on Battlefield Blvd.)?
  7. I think Mayor Fraim said it best...
  8. It's either that or 170 people dressed as devilish clowns killing people.

Those are some really great pictures. The ones where he mixed the old with the new were just magic. It's great to see soemone not from here taking beautiful photos.
  10. You don't have to go to the Vie De France in downtown Norfolk.
  11. There's no problem with the project at all. The bid for "site demolition" is due on 1-10-06, so you probably won't see much activity for about a month.
  12. I had forgot about this complex. Do you all think $16 million sounds low for all the stuff they are proposing?

  17. I'll take that post back. That map that I posted pretty much showed the WV portion. Here is Va. portion. PDF File
  18. Dude that's just for 6.5 miles of a 51 mile highway. The total cost of this project is estimated at $1.7 Billion (2002). This is the reason for the project. The expressway will not only provide a modern, safe and efficient highway through the Coalfields region of southwestern Virginia, but the new road is expected to be an economic lifeline for a region experiencing double-digit unemployment and a declining population. In fact, the entire multi-state Appalachian region should see a boost in commerce and tourism as a result of the Coalfields Expressway. Designated as part of the national highway system, the new road will link Interstate 64 and 77 in West Virginia with Route 23 in Virginia, which links to interstates in Kentucky and Tennessee.
  19. Yeah Mr. Trump Fort Norfolk has a lot of virgin waterfront property with LRT coming soon. And you don't have to deal with the federal goverment. lol, why am I writing this like Trump is really reading this shi+?
  20. Yeah I had heard that before. I thought it was funny when the Trump spokeswoman said this... Also... I think somebody is not being totally honest here. I would probably bet on the Trump spokesperson.
  21. Psst! Was that The Donald gliding by in Hampton in that limo? Link If this is true it could be either really good or really bad. If Hampton gets star-struck they might just let him build anything just to have something that says, "Trump was Here". If they stick to their guns they could get something that would put Hampton on the map. For now it's just a rumor.
  22. They better hurry up and open so they can make some money before the GSA takes the building. The sad part about it is that they will take the building and do nothing with it.
