A few shots from last night!

Haha I actually had a dream last night another developer proposed a similarly tall tower here in Charlotte and I was trying really hard to eyeball how tall it was going to be like I did for Queensbridge a few weeks back!

Great being there as well today, the weather was awesome! This project truly is phenomenal!

The temporary pedestrian walkway has been removed!

It looks like they value engineered the 4th side to have ACM.

That definitely makes sense and I believe it also might be required by the general development zoning standards as well!

I do like the incorporation of the landscaping at the street level, but I think more intentionality with how it interacts with the sidewalk is definitely important. I feel a good example of this would be at the plaza by the Ally building (specifically the layering around the Golden Cow). Adding architectural barriers that serves as a seating area around the landscaping I think helps a lot with this kind of disconnection. Google street view

I was using the top floor as a reference and then scaling the 2-point rendering based on the height from LD - not the most accurate but gives a better ballpark guess! It appears we are back to the drawing boards for trying to figure out the height! When was this document approved? Even just a simple profile view would suffice! I definitely understand the need to make changes during the construction process but it would be great to get the planned height info of all these towers under construction!

A few random shots from this afternoon!

After walking by the site yesterday I got curious and tried to do a little digging… I think I have a theory on how tall the residential tower is… The approved LD submittal indicated the top floor is 476'-10" from street level. using that number and with some eyeballing (haha more like rough scaling from the website rendering) I got a height of about 548’-6” +/- Let me know your thoughts! @CLT Development @KJHburg
