Option 1 is not in play since the Titans can unilaterally extend the lease which prompts Option 2 and 3 as our only true options. For Option 2, the Sports Authority land/parking lots will not be developed since the Titans will just extend the lease. So we aren't actually reimagining the East Bank. Option 3, a new stadium, the State is kicking in $500M, Titans around $800M and Metro with the rest derived from sales tax, hotel motel tax and 50% of the sales tax from the newly developed district/East Bank. Yes, Metro will need to pay for infrastructure, but that's an obligation that can be spread over a few fiscal years as it is developed.

It absolutely will but I think the Titans are still proposing at least 2,000 parking spaces plus some for players/team personnel. In the new East Bank Vision plan on page 103 it says: "Stadium parking should be distributed as evenly as possible throughout the neighborhood in underground parking structures. However, the East Bank’s new urban street grid and connected multimodal transportation networks will allow stadium-goers to get to the East Bank in modes of transportation that do not require parking garages."
-
Not sure if this is correct since the existing lease requires parking

Why are people so mad? LOL. I'm not talking about the State putting in the $500M but the rest of the term sheet from the City... The City is forgoing FUTURE sales tax revenue to be generated within the Stadium on a site that is currently generating $0... If nothing happens it's not like that parking lot is going to be redeveloped... The Sports Authority controls it and it hasn't been developed in nearly 25 years and the Titans have an agreement that they are the tenants of that property. Then the new 130 acre campus will receive a sales tax incentive outside of the Stadium. The City/State will still receive HALF of the sales tax from this campus which is also currently generating $0!!! There's NONE being generated on this campus as we speak so there is a revenue stream from the deal.... HALF of something in the future is better than NONE at all. The city increasing the hotel/motel tax 1% which truly is generally on tourists... The real big incentive the city is doing is all the public infrastructure and the East Bank boulevard that will occur concurrently with the project. I don't understand why everyone is so mad?

Not sure if this has been posted, but a track is being built on a property outside Crossville, TN (between Crab Orchard and Rockwood). The group is legit. They are working with the investors of the Music City Grand Prix which include Kevin Clayton and even a few of the drivers from the GP race. Here's their facebook page which includes some action shots from their promotion at the Grand Prix: https://www.facebook.com/ExperienceFlatrock They are working with the internationally acclaimed Tilke engineers (https://tilke.de/en/projects/) who have designed some of the world's famous tracks in Saudi Arabia, Instanbul, Hanoi, Baku, Vancouver, Sochi, Austin (COTA), Nuerburgring, Bahrain, Korea, Shanghai and Barcelona.

Not sure how this works when the preliminary renderings of the new East Bank connector road seems to go right through this property...
