  1. I sure hope the brick look becomes more popular. It balances the glass well.
  2. I would probably think some other city had built a building just like the ATT tower if I saw that picture and hadn't been following what's going on.
  3. Yeah these apartments being built might be in style now, but 30 years from now, what are they going to look like? I hear people talk a lot about the ugly brutalist 70s and 80s buildings that must come down; it'll be like that.
  4. After a certain amount of drinks, Broadway has moving sidewalks.
  5. I love the way 2nd Ave Partners looks, but I really hate to see those old brick buildings become even more rare. I wish they would demolish a warehouse or gas station or stand alone fast food in the area instead.
  6. That's what most people thought when they saw him, not knowing who he was.
  7. This probably wouldn't happen in Nashville either.
  8. Indeed, since Tokyo is the largest city on the planet. If Nashville followed a similar pattern it would way smaller and above ground.
  9. From what I understand transit in Japan is private, but different lines are run by different companies and they don't appear on the same charts which can make it really confusing to get around Tokyo if you don't know the different rail lines intimately. Maybe something like that could work if there could be some cooperation with charts and maps being able to change lines at stations.
  10. Ah, that's it. Downtown Nashville. Anything else that gets built is illigit and unpostcard-worthy.
  11. That view on the OneCity cam is really cool. I sometimes look at it and imagine some of the proposed towers that would fill this in even more, giving Nashville on heck of a skyline. But I have a feeling that professional photographers would still snap their skyline shots from the opposite side of the river, getting Batman to UBS, the same skyline since 1994.
  12. Then the cluster of buildings around JW Marriott will be like the star in the crescent......like in Islam.
  13. The Ingle-ish ain't a-copulative, fool. We be all about articles and particles too, arnt it cool?
  14. That's what I've been thinking Nashville will end up looking like. 2 skylines. Unless you look from certain perspectives or from a far back enough vantage to include the Gulch and Midtown mini-skylines (for a lack of a better term), it'll always have that large gap.
  15. It'll stay that way because height isn't allowed near Broadway....unless I'm mistaken.
