  1. IMO Publix & HT can survive uptown. The only thing I don't see is a 40,000 ft store, especially since Publix will have a store in SouthEnd & HT is going in the redeveloped Segefield center & both will have easy access via the Blue line. Whole Foods at Cresent makes more sense to me because it would likely pull from a wider demo & is far enough away from it's other locations
  2. yes. They might not have been able to survive much longer either way but CCCP has always wanted a public market downtown & had that location at the top of their wish list.
  3. The Uptown Teeter is profitable FWIW & attracts over 2,000 customers per day. Reid's lease was not renewed to make way for the 7th St. Market.
  4. . The gradual evolution of CLT from a large airport to a multi-modal trade hub is one of the biggest developments that doesn't receive much fanfare & has the most game changing potential of any thing going on in the QC
  5. My understanding is that the 16 million is coming from the hotel tax while 25 million is from the CIP to turn the Bo/Ovens complex into a amateur sports hub. The Checkers have committed to covering over a million in upgrades& moving practices to the coliseum. It's not mentioned but the Checkers/CRVA are also looking to host youth tournaments, camps & lease the coliseum to those who want to practice there.
  6. The workforce housing are for low income workers who make to much to qualify for public assistance or are on the waiting list but don't make enough to get into nicer apartments. So these are income restricted units
