  1. You kids always provide much entertainment .... This is a box. But the base is shaped like a triangle, sort of. I admit I am not 100% about the base fronting I-40, but it is definitely an angle. Here is a top view generated from the elevation diagram
  2. I said the same about what is the now the Hutton Hotel ......... so, anything is possible
  3. JetBlue is a potential buyout target of Southwest Airlines
  4. Well, ain't this cute. Apparently, the purpose of this sign is to encourage motorists to not hit pedestrians Sign
  5. Everyone has different tastes, I guess. The Baker-Donelson building is my favorite because of the architecture - especially the ground floor
  6. Well, I was concerned they might build something with multiple stories here! Thankfully, this will not be another 20 story building fronting I-40 Seriously, put retail in the first 10 floors and build up from there
  7. They were green one night, recently. Good to see the different colors
  8. Late July groundbreaking planned Per Getahn Ward at the Tennessean
  9. The Arcade is the oldest continuously running mall in America
  10. All the excavation from projects like LifePoint and AIG (Seven Springs) has been going there. No current plans for any development, that I am aware of. But one would think that something will happen when the site is flat
  11. Cane Ridge requested a zip code for the area south of Bell Rd. and west of I-24. The Post Office denied that request because there is not enough demand. However, the Post Office agreed to allow residents to also use Cane Ridge instead of Antioch. Nashville can also be used. Anyone, ANYWHERE, inside the 37013 zip code can use Cane Ridge. Officially, it is still Antioch. But the insurance companies only looks at the numbers 37013, not the name
  12. LifeWay going to 400 1st Ave, as reported by NBJ. That is the grass field south of KVB. Very high profile location
  13. This should have little impact on the traffic on I-24, due to its location To refresh everyone, here is the plan for the new interchange. 1) There are NO plans for any improvements for the Bell Road interchange with I-24 (thank you CSX) 2) It has been suggested the state make improvements to the interchange of Cane Ridge Rd. and Bell Rd. 3) The first zoning approvals are already completed
  14. That was the impression I got. But he did talk about the land across Briley, so not sure what to make of it. However, he stressed the importance of the need for this family-oriented attraction. Years ago, the plan was to build a "tower" addition (where the ice skating was during Christmas) to add an additional 500(?) Rooms. That plan got shelved when the economy tanked
  15. FYI, president of Ryman Hospitality spoke on WKRN tonight and stated there would be an announcement in, possibly, 3-5 months about plans for an indoor/outdoor water park. Stated (and I am paraphrasing) that not everyone wants to bring their wife and kids to spend 18 hours a day in a bar listening to music. Also, he (as a member of the airport authority board) noted that airport and city/state officials are actively working on luring a flight to Europe. It was noted that a top state official recently visited two airlines to promote expanding service to Nashville **Maybe when pigs fly???
