  1. Huh? I walk over there and walk right in and get my food almost immediately and there's no line. It's great!
  2. Is it world class? No. Is it a top-tier stadium within the context of not having a tenant? Absolutely.
  3. I fully support this. That spot has been empty for about 5 years. I think they're overstating the walking traffic on that portion of I-Drive, but its still close enough and has trolley locations that they'll definitely get more traffic. It's right in front of a hotel and 4 minute walk from a bunch of timeshares. It's an "easy" enough location to get to for people from Orlando, so regulars still could easily get there if they so choose. And most importantly ITS STILL IN THE CITY OF ORLANDO. Honestly, their beer is so mediocre, I don't know anyone that drinks it. But it fills a niche. Makes me think of Sin City Brewery in Vegas. You'll get out of towners that don't know any better and will stop by. Seems like a win for everyone.
  4. I've whined and sent letters re: Magic Entertainment Complex. At the very least connect Pine to Division dammit! Orange and Pine has been vacant since I've been here, so not really anything for me to say. Empty lots on Garland next to a highway isn't really that strange. It's normal in most mid-major cities... which we are. Over time they will get built up or there won't be a market to build them up. It's a slow process. There were lots of complaints about Tinker.
  5. Obviously arson is awful, and everything about this is awful. And this is being pedantic, but is it truly iconic? Feels like it should be from what you're posting. But I've literally been here a decade, have immersed myself in the local culture and history as much as one reasonably can not being a native because this is home to me. I've never heard of this place. If I haven't, then how would any of the hundreds of thousands of transplants going to hear about it? And if it's not known, is it still iconic? I'm not exactly sure what my point here is... but somehow word gets out about Linda's and Lee & Rick's and the various other Orlando "institutions". As a community, do we need to do better about preaching about additional places that have historical value (and still producing a quality product)?
  6. I4 Ultimate Newsletter came out yesterday and included a video celebrating the opening. (I'm still not sure how I got on this mailing list on my PERSONAL email, but )
  7. I guess I'm just a bitter person. I really enjoyed Noodles (and now Zoes). I think 4 rivers is okay bbq at best. And Fresh Kitchen is DELICIOUS... but I refuse to go there more than like once a year because they don't publish nutritional data and I'm pretty confident if it tastes as good as it does, it can't be good for you.
  8. Typically these themed pop-ups are too busy and filled with wannabe influencers. But always happy to see something getting to us if there's only 5 cities getting it!
  9. Yeh I think pandemic hit them hard. They were often super busy at lunch and did a ton of catering, but that market hasn't rebounded as much.
  10. It's entirely semantic but I can't fathom why you would consider it Oak Ridge? Literally it's perpendicular to Oak Ridge and is an extension of Grand National. This may be just because I worked over there for so many years that I drove on Grand National a ton, so I see it as a commonly used road.
  11. TIL... there's a lot of people that are aficionados for Shell gas.
  12. While I much prefer the original, and this redo is uninspired, it kinda fits in with the courthouse quasi across the street. It is significantly better than the ugly that exists. It is adding more tenants. It extends the urban fabric. And I assume its largely being done on the cheap, so a future developer can saw screw it and knock it down in 20 years when the land becomes more valuable due to the Paper District being the hip new place to hang out. Wins all around.
  13. Can't argue that . I don't think I've ever done the pizza. I tend to do the hamburger place or Da Kine Poke. The cheese curds are amazing.
  14. I will say, and I don't have the answer to this. But we probably do need to rethink how public meetings and such are announced. Obviously, we're a high-affinity group here, and I miss them. I can't imagine the ordinary consumer.
  15. I've been following them on Insta, I don't think its open yet. Excited to try though. Rob typically does good stuff.
  16. I just wanted to say I VERY much appreciated this reference. In the past yes, but they were actually unlikely bedfellows in 2018 on Issue 3 with Seminoles. I don't think history has as much consequence as usual in this case. Tampa Hard Rock is a legit destination casino. Is it as good as Hollywood? No, but that's the flagship. As their sister property, it's more than acceptable.
  17. There's a cocktail bar and coffee shop named Robinson on Pine

    Mills/50

Basically the same as brewery... the "ery" just signifies that's where said concoction is made. A good mead is one of my favorite alcoholic beverages. The problem is there's very few good ones. They tend to go too sour or cider crossover at times imo.
  19. I'm one of the only people that doesn't seem to love Sea Thai. I much prefer Naradeva near Millenia. .... It was open like 5 years? That's pretty long. Also, it's being reopened (sans cars) shortly with some new capital. That's fascinating. To me his humor is why I literally despise him. Well that and the complaints about mostly nonsense. And the time he reviewed Church Street Tavern that was decorated with Pittsburgh memorabilia and was serving Primanti Bros style sandwiches and was befuddled why the french fries were on the sandwich when a 4 word google search of "french fry sandwich pittsburgh" would have solved it and not led to a entire paragraph diatribe of complaints and bad humor. And I'm from Ohio, we hate Pittsburgh! And the lack of effort still annoyed me.
  20. I'm a big fan of elevated direct toll roads, so I like this. Although I think they should be prioritizing Airport to 408 up Semoran first.
  21. On say, Tasty Tuesday, where else do you park? Or even in general, Sportstown has like 6 parking spots. It's an urban neighborhood designed for street parking. As aforementioned 50s house with one driveway... living on Delaney I have the same issue. I tend to put my blinker on somewhat early and then start going decently slow, and 95% of people get it but yeah, its a major hassle that I don't look forward to
  22. https://www.crexi.com/lease/properties/335055/florida-2116-s-orange-avenue All signs I've seen said Fall 2021 sooo good to see its moving again
