  1. I noticed today that they have put up construction fencing only at one half of this traffic circle and they have also place a porta potty there too. I wonder if this is related to the residential tower
  2. Do you know who the Architect for this project is? That is one unfortunate looking rendering
  3. Just walked by the grassy field at the corner of Kenilworth and Morehead, looks like they are just starting to put up construction fencing around the property
  4. I can see why they went to the effort of getting gold plated windows, that aesthetic is really paying off /s
  5. What a weird rendering, no context at all
  6. For some reason Lincoln at Dilworth also does not have trees planted on Morehead
  7. These pictures were taken last night where Harding place turns into Greenwood Cliff Rd. A couple houses were just recently demolished and it looks like they are about to put up fencing around the block ljfek
  8. Does anyone which architecture firm designed this?
  9. A few houses were demolished this past week near the corner of East blvd and Lombardy Cir. Are there any current plans to build something here?
  10. There seems to be a decent amount of activity at the corner of Mockingbird Ln and hedgemore Dr, any body know what is being built here?
  11. Does anyone know when they will begin construction on the Office tower and hotel?
  12. I saw a house was recently demolished diagonally across the street from that site, is this related at all?
  13. honestly I'm prepared to be underwhelmed, but hopefully I'm wrong
  14. What building is it that is being constructed in the second picture?
  15. Why has this been taking so long? Has Roy just been working on it by himself?
  16. That is the Chongqing World Financial Centre. I visited there a couple of years ago and it's a really nice part of the skyline especially at night. If anyone is interested in the cyberpunk aesthetic; which I love, you should make it a priority to visit Chongqing. If Charlotte could have a little more of the gritty chaos and neon lights that is Chongqing, Charlotte would be such an exciting place and definitely stand out among other American cities.
  17. In your second picture, is that a tall building off in the distance?
  18. Does anybody really want to live in the apartments that are facing the light rail station?
  19. That site looks fairly small for a 31 story building. I'm guessing it's going to be a very thin tower.
  20. I have to say this masterplan is really underwhelming and disappointing. I'm not sure why it will be called "The River District" if urban public center has no access to the river. The places closest to the river are the same cul-de-sac cookie-cutter neighborhoods that can be found throughout suburbia. I feel like this is going to be a major missed opportunity.
  21. I have dreams of this island as becoming a mini Manhattan, which is very far-fetched idea, but this is certainly the first step in that direction.
  22. This is a pretty awkward shot, is this a professional rendering or just something the developer through together?
  23. Do you have the source link for these stats? I always have trouble using the census website
  24. You do realize that you can post about this project with giving your opinion on the city as a whole? And I mean this in all due respect as I acknowledge that you are the one true judge as to when a city becomes a "real" city.
