Heres, my idea that lays on the same track as what The city been planning

i drew a similar map but it goes further ou the city of columbia and a few other authrories are actually planning a commuter rail line that runs from Columbia to Newberry Columbia to Batesburg-Leesville and Columbia to Camden. honestly they should added Columbia to Sumter. my idea also includes a Underground part thats directly under main st. from USC to blythwood. i can post a picture of my map if you want me too its very similar to yours.

I havent heard anything about it. i hope the company didnt back out on their plans because of the battle to buy that land.

Yeah my Uncle told me to do the same thing. hes like a Pro when it comes to the law. i will check that out. I really just want the reconition really I dont need millions of dollars. just I want people to know that Julius T. Williams was the young buck who helped change the City of Columbia for good. thats all im asking for.

CMRTA website and pamplets now has switched over to COMET. im a bit upset that they still havent called me back yet about giving me credit for the name change. even though news reports said that the idea came from a middle school student over 4 years ago at a local smrta board meeting that gave them the idea they technically didnt say a name. im concern that im being cheated out of major reconition. and possibly money.

I think a Metropolitan style/ Epicentre shopping and entertainment area would really look great in this area. also it should have areas for many buses to meet and stuff. something alongthe line kinda like the CATS Transit Center mixed together with a shoping center.

all that surface parking is so impratical. although phase look looks good my wonders are if any companies or any ideas for possible mid rises and maybe a highraisei n this location. only if its zoned for it.

anyone else besides me seen recently that the old NBSC building on the corner of main and lady is being guttered out for some reason. Any word of something being put there soon or are they just renovating?

It was actually COlumbia Metropolitan Transit. Was it me? I pretty sure it was someone else who was throwing the name around. I mean I dont want to take all the credit. Im still so surprised 4 years and finally approved .
