  1. I think Queensbridge is the initial salvo that will lead to capping some of the freeway.
  2. I think the idea of Latta Arcade is great but the reality of it is not. It is more of a pass through than a destination.
  3. Went through there last Saturday night and was underwhelmed.
  4. The Ivey's is another building that had a different origin.
  5. You are so right KJH!
  6. When you think of office to residential conversions, note that Tryon St has 4 residential addresses, Ratcliffe built as residential, 230 S Tryon former Mass Mutual, Trust formerly Charter Bank(?) and Ivey's former department store. It is not unusual and can be a great reuse of buildings.

  8. I was showing property at Royal Court today and was amazed at how "Urban" it felt. I was concerned that the development along Morehead would choke the life from Royal Court but was pleasantly surprised.
  9. There are pockets of the Public Market at 7th that are doing well, Assorted Table Wine & Shop, Orrmans, Mono Bello, Gino's Pizza. Others not so much.
  10. That will make a nice addition to the skyline in addition to adding depth from the Mint Street view southwest.

  15. My wife has owned an electric vehicle for 5 1/2 years and we have never had issues finding a place to charge. Sometimes pre-planning makes that even easier.
  16. I was in Norfolk for New Years and went to the Chrysler Museum to see a display of Paul McCartney's photographs from 1964-65 during their initial tour (s) of the US. These were pictures that he took. One in Miami involved him looking out of the window of the car he was traveling in and he took a picture of the gun in the holster of an officer assigned to protect the Beatles. He took it because (at that time) no police in England carried guns. He was amazed to see it.
  17. Wish Frankie's was still operating. I remember it was a favorite hangout for Lynn Wheeler at the bar.
