Off topic, but every time I see MUFG I can only think "MuthaFuggin."

Which would make a lot of sense now that the Independence has partnered with three local merged youth clubs—including one of only two US Development Academies in the Charlotte area (Carolina Rapids): http://www.independencesoccer.club/

You know, at this point they're just keeping it around to troll you. They'll move it to each new floor as they build the tower. -

Snake at my church in University City. Had to have a little fun with motion stabilization around his eye. Snapping turtle moseyed right up to my deck.

While it would have been nice for this building to follow the curve of Mint St., I concede that if the stadium were ever demolished and redeveloped, Mint might get straightened back out. -

Did anyone else receive this survey? It was sent to my son and the questions asked his opinion about getting an MLS franchise and whether BofA stadium would work for MLS.

Story time! I worked on the Apple Auto Sales commercials between 1995-2000s. The ideas were all Rob's...he was one of the few clients who actually understood how to stand out in the local advertising crowd. He bought the suit and wig himself – I believe the wig alone cost a few hundred bucks. The interiors in the commercial in the link above were shot in the TWC (now Spectrum) building at 316 E. Morehead St. The office was our promotion manager's. There's a photo of my kids on the desk behind the "sales manager." It was used as a prop and ended up featured in another one of the ads, which Jay Leno showed on his short-lived The Jay Leno Show in a "bad commercials" segment. A lot of the people in the commercials were Rob's, but several were my co-workers. The guy dressed up as a woman (referenced in the article) who said "Oh, Lawdy!" when he got smacked on the head was our traffic manager.

I think what he meant to say was that he was a "charlatan at the gate."

It could be a working title. There's no Where Angels Land listed on IMDb.

The IMDb page (linked above and here: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9747440/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_1) calls it The Christmas Song.

The Christmas Song Be on the lookout for Kristen Chenowith about town.

The articles state that it will be the 6th largest bank by assets and deposits.

I might be in the minority here, but as a soccer player/fan/coach/dad and an original Panthers PSL owner, I'd much rather have this... ...than a dome. Give me real grass, some protection from the elements, plus the potential to cool the field a little bit during blazing hot summer MLS/NFL games, and you can have your Super Bowl and Final Four elsewhere. I care nothing about hosting those events once at the expense of a great player and fan experience for two teams that will be around a long time.

^^Oh man, that brings back memories. I was in Cedar Hall in the late '80s and CAB was my primary dining hall. They would often have shows out there in the amphitheater, including a killer '80s cover band that played fall '88. All the Journey and Def Leppard a young man could want.
