  1. Maybe all the port-a-potties are clogged.
  2. I see embeds on the shaft which makes me think this will be a structural steel frame. However at least the first two levels is cast in place concrete. I don't see any post tension cables so perhaps this will be structural steel above? We shall see.

Building casinos in working class areas is a disaster. Casinos earn at the expense of those who are poor and not financially literate. It's hilarious how many people complain about "corporations rob and steal from people" yet these same people say yes to casinos since they "bring jobs and tax dollars." A casino brings minimal of both of these to an area. Whatever income it brings to an area, there's not much to show. For example, the areas around MGM in PG County, MD and Horseshoe Casino in Baltimore have not been any better since the opening of these establishments in their respective areas.
  4. It's the facade and lack of ground floor retail. I see these types developments all over DMV suburbs.
  5. Now I can't find this article. What I do know is United has been reducing service on a number of routes due to issues with Boeing deliveries.
  6. About a month ago, I read on the blog aeroroutes.com that UA DEN service will be reduced to 1x Daily mainline service. When I get time, I'll find and post it here.
  7. Great to see more density coming to the Museum District. Hmmm. Maybe those breeze blocks should be removed and replaced with something more appealing? Perhaps demo the entire structure and build new? Just my opinion.
  8. Nice! A face to match. You did a great job!
  9. I don't think this is the place for this type of suburban style development. Do I want ownership? Yes but in a higher density project than this. My concern these owners could become NIMBY's in an area which can support more density.

Hopefully the final product does not look that bland.
  11. A name synonymous to Richmond would have been better. Something that markets "this is what Richmond is known for".
  12. I agree. What a waste of time for the community and fellow Richmonders. The developer of Avery Hall should buy this land, raised the structure and build a dog park so dogs can crap on the property.
  13. When I plane spot around RIC, I will sometimes go to WAWA's and the Microtel parking lot.
  14. In my opinion, Southwest service to BWI would mean less chance of Southwest adding destination from RIC. Once RIC passengers arrive at BWI, they will connect to flights to many other destinations.
  15. Yes! About a month after I was at RIC thinking the same. They definitely needs better food options however where is there space for new vendors? Maybe replace what's there with a food court? If so, it will have to be post security to be effective. Hmmm. Maybe this food court could be a connector between both concourses?
  16. I also remember going to People's Drug for sodas and fries.
  17. I have not been to any Subway's in a very long time.
  18. Expect NIMBY's to cry about the height.

So what you are saying is religion was used an excuse, not the religion itself? Correct?
  20. Yes! A restaurant there would be nice.
  21. One that's as shiny as my bald head.
  22. I love severe weather and chasing severe storms and tropical systems as well. When I used to live at Kensington Court Apartments, I make my way to the roof when severe weather would approach.
  23. I never visited Central Place Observation Deck. The cost to visit is not worth it
