That debacle should have earned RBS a tarnished port-o-potty.
-
Great to see Petersburg gaining interest from developers. All that surface parking not so.
-
Only 9-stories? I was hoping for more floors but at least this shows there's demand Downtown.
-
I agree. What I like about urban areas is the grid street system. It keeps traffic down on the streets due to options. Therefore less traffic means better pedestrian safety.
-
I love the way you think.

Is this the white brick building? Across from the former Planet Zero?
-
It's rare but I've seen this happen. There may be different reasons why. Sometimes all segments of a tower crane may not arrive at the same time due to logistics. In the meantime, the crane assembling the tower crane maybe needed somewhere else. Also, a heavier crane maybe needed to hoist the counterweights of a tower crane due to the height of the mast and length of the jibb. Another scenario is the concrete footing for this tower crane may not be at full strength to support a fully assembled tower crane of this size. There are more reasons why.

These large stick frame structures sometimes worry me during construction. You guys remember in 2004 that block which burned on Broad?

Could be a central and cost-effective location for their regional operations.

Site getting muddy due to the recent rains. This can slow operation of equipment. Installing a bed of stone should help.

I totally agree with you. Multiple buildings on a block gives a more urban feel. Especially when each structure on the block has a different facade or even use.
-
A courtyard in the middle of the block could help with more overall height.

Approve today please!!!

WOW! Didn't know those were dorms.
-
Geez. This also looks like a 1980s college dorm. I'm thrilled to see all of this development but the architecture with some of these developments is horrible.
-
Unfortunately there's still a surface lot facing two streets.
-
That is caisson work. The site could have at least two tower cranes.

It's a crawler. Could be for a number of things such as installing caissons, assembling a tower crane, lifting storm structures in to place.

When I saw the "red" on Broad Street, I was thinking why so many break lights.

Has excavation been completed? Will the foundation include caissons? If the foundation does include caissons, then add more time until we see a tower crane(s).

Me too! I prefer cold over hot temperatures.

Must a big "Church chicken drive-thru". Will it include a "cemetery"?

What is "Church's chicken drive thru"?
