Those are awesome, Chickenwing! Why is it I never get to take a flight path over downtown like that?!?!? It must be where I'm flying.

It's funny, but that cropped one almost looks like it was taken with a fisheye lense.

I cropped the first one from a larger aerial I took sometime last year.

Great photos Chickenwing! Great angles! Were you leaning out of a helicopter door for these? In the bottom right of the second one, it almost looks like a piece of a helicopter. Much better than my photos taken through the scratchy windows of Delta planes.

Those are amazing! I particularly like the first one. And the last one with 385 and downtown in the distance will be quite a shot once Magnolia Park is complete with ATLEAST two 10 story towers...

The amatuer archivist in me likes that photo for recording the Greenville Mall site before destruction.

Is this the guy that takes pictures with model airplanes? I think I read something about him in the paper.

If the images weren't $80 +, I would probably get one for myself.

As I have already told you, simply FANTASTIC aerial photo of Greenville, urbanphotosguy!!! Thank you for posting these here for everyone.

I will definitely be getting in touch with you, since I've never seen better aerial photos of Greenville anywhere else. The same is very true of your Charlotte series, which I absolutely adore.

Thanks for posting these over here, Bill! I figured you couldn't resist the suggestion. I particularly love the overhead of the Liberty Bridge in Falls Park. That's just amazing!

It's a shame you couldn't have been here on a day that was a little less hazy. The view of the Blue Ridge Escarpment is awesome on a clear day and would have made a nice backdrop for you.

I was just looking at these incredible photos again. The first time I viewed them, I thought there was a shadow on the B of A tower, but I just realized these were taken right at the start of the repainting of this building.

If anyone feels in a creative mood today, it would be interesting to use PhotoShop to draw in The Pinnacle and Peacock Hotel & Spa to get a visual of what the skyline will look like in the near future (construction is going to start on these in the next month or two, urbanphotosguy). Then, perhaps you can come back one day and take some updated pictures!

Riverplace does SO MUCH for Greenville's cityscape and urban fabric.

I still can't get over the density. When you see it everyday from ground level you don't realize. This should put to rest the notion that downtown Greenville is only Main Street.
