Nothing like Katrina, but we had a big snowstorm up here in the northeast today. I got out of work early and took these photos before running in the house. This Atwells Avenue on Providence's Federal Hill.

How have these record cold temperatures affected Rhode Island, Cotuit?

A friend of mine in Connecticut told me that he got nearly nine inches of snow today.

I love the snow.

The only way I see record cold temperatures affecting the Northeast is when it comes to heating your home... and MAYBE taking care of your car. ( don't own either so I don't know )

The snow can be a hassle trying to drive through it and such. But I was looking forward to getting some. I'm still waiting to get some good snow pics on my digital camera. I got my camera ready to go then our snow fizzled out down here.

We hardly got any snow in West Michigan out of that storm, maybe 5 or 6 inches. Although a lot of schools cancelled classes Friday. Here are some pics that one of our forumers had taken on another topic from Friday:

Burj Dubai will be the world's tallest building once completed. It will be 160 Floors and a little over 700M.

In light of the race riots that have been going on in Australia I wanted to post this picture. The Masjid Hamzah Islamic Center here in Fayetteville. Hopefully we can overcome this type of bigotry and realize the advantages of ethnic, cultural and religious diversity.
