Hilton Norfolk at The Main

I wish I had thought of taking a pic of the Hilton rising while I was riding the ferry over from Ptown on Saturday!

It really does have a presence already!

Walking past tonight I noticed they were starting to install the facade on the lower parts of the building. They're moving fast now!

It's not close to topping out, but I think it's safe to say this building has established a landmark sense of place at the corner of Main and Granby.

Nice I can't wait to take pictures of the Main when I am down in Norfolk on the weekend before Thanksgiving.

Wow! The scaffolding for the glass entrance really threw me for a loop. This thing might open earlier than predicted.

The skyline is going to look pretty nice when this tops out. I just hate that - depending on the angle - it will prolly block the Dominion Enterprises building.

Norfolk needs a new icon in downtown, this architecturally speaking screams that, the height however doesn't .last time i was down there it was the wine fest and they didn't have a bit of cladding up but i'm liking it so far.

Wow, this thing is going up really fast! I'm surprised that they've started adding the glass already.

Based on the renderings it looks like there's about four or five more floors to go in addition to the crown before it tops out.

I was thinking 7 or 8. It's very hard to count floors on this thing. Looks like they raised the crane too. Usually buildings top out to within a couple of sections below the height of the crane.
