It was on a Sunday afternoon.  There were a ton of homeless people on the benches and sidewalk on East Trade by the fountain.  Sadly, that's life in America in 2022.

They were both standing when I first visited Charlotte in the early 90s.  I thought: "For a little city, this place has some cool buildings!"  Obviously, it's not a "little city" any more, and now it has lots of amazing towers.

Summer 2012. You can tell that because the SKYE condo building is still under construction. I remember they were trying to finish it in time for the DNC but just couldn't make it.
