A long while ago I was told larger starbucks goes here, starbucks becomes something else.

Apparently the owner of the outer strip hates having a Starbucks there and wants them to move. Rumor has it the owner disliked it so much they aren’t renewing the lease.  Asana doesn’t own that outer parcel, right? So maybe a move to this part of the center would make sense.

This post is so coincidental.  Just today, past clients of mine that I haven’t talked to in about six years reached out to me via text.  In our convo, she told me that they (her and her husband) are opening a wine bar and they’d secured space in Elizabeth.  And they do live close by.  So weird how the universe works sometimes.

That Starbucks in Elizabeth was the very first Starbucks in NC and actually the first in the Carolinas and I still have their special coffee cup they were giving out.  (Now I wouldn't go to a Starbucks)

Took a short walkabout in the Elizabeth neighborhood and we need to do a UP walking tour here @CLT Development don't you think?

I saw some things today I have passed many times in the car but never seen.   Like this little old apartment building.  

The CPCC parking garage is growing vines up it better than any such attempt I have seen around town.

Finally feels like meaningful progress has been made at the former Dollar General space. The leasing site seems to show the large restaurant space is still available. Has someone has signed a lease for this spot?

The 5/3 branch closed in the Fall, rumor is they had problems with flooding.

^^ 5/3 Bank did confirm that to me about the flooding at that branch.   And wet money and computers don't mix.

Pizza Baby looks very close to opening.

Independence Park Charlotte's first is heavily used now since the renovation.  (I avoided taking photos of the people there today)   Also, a transit-oriented community and they do not have to wait years.

Actually a big fan of this one. Really could make this stretch so much more urban. I would love to see a more urban 7th Street one day.

That’s nice!  Almost makes up for the loss of the grey bungalow where Fuze salon was.
