It's becoming quite clear there is no reason to invest in a 1,000 room Hotel.

Instead, I think an aesthetic renovation is needed at very least.

Wow when you see it from above it is a lot larger project than what you can see from the streets or even the side.

Take LYNX in to town, and it is surprisingly shocking to see the impact.

this is a much bigger project than I thought.  Photos from today and Stonewall is closed between College and Brevard but you can still get into the Whole Foods deck.  This is going to look good when all is said and done.  From ground level and above.

According to Thrift CRES, the expansion is supposed to create 2100 SF Of retail space. So, that seems like a big positive for Stonewall facing CC. Rendering  shows maybe a restaurant inside the CC with outdoor space also connecting to the new skywalk.

this convention center expansion is a lot bigger and more involved than I thought from the renderings.  It will be super nice.

Update from Gman's post back in July. There's some serious progress with steel beams being made.

here is another project because it is uptown people are missing the construction.  It is much more involved than I thought or the renderings I saw.

I hope it pays off for the city.

I think you are right.  the entire street was closed as I had to go around the block to get into the Stonewall Whole Foods garage.  there was a mobile crane in the street by westin parking garage entry exit.   Here is another photo I took .

I believe the change coming to Stonewall Street with the completion of the CC Expansion will have a significant impact on making the street brighter and more inviting.

Where is that located exactly? Is it next to the new Greyhound station? Saw a bunch of rail work going on there.

Start around W 9th Street by the ADM Silos, and follow the train line towards BOA Stadium.  The AMTRAK station will be on Trade Street and the rail line.  Lots of track construction going on there.

That seating area / picture box is in on the rail trail. This seems like it’ll look fantastic. It’s bigger than I imagined

While uptown is still mainly a ghost town and  some of these large employers need to start asking people to come back, construction continues.  anyway here is the Convention Center expansion and bridge looks great.   That pedestrian bridge looks fantastic.
