Even with a B&W pic, you can still tell it looks better. Have they started painting the exterior walls yet or just replacing the windows?

This building along with the current library are excellent examples of why non-neutral or non-earth tone colors should generally not be use on the exterior of a building. The color scheme goes out of style, and then the building looks very dated. The Blue and green panels on the CSX building have looked hideous for years. Same thing for the library's yellow/green/orange tiles.

They haven't started painting the exterior walls as of yet. However, like the photo shows, the building looks 100% better with the glass earth toned panels instead of the old blue tiles.

There were discussions about renting the library out for a super bowl party/event, but their board never voted on it. The thought at the time was the building would be finished in time and could be used for the SB before the library furnishings were moved in. Peyton and the library board were concerned about the wear the building might get from an SB rental. I guess it's a moot point now.

East Bay Street LLC, which purchased the historic building in 1999, has steadily been renovating each floor. The first and second floors, which offer 7,200 square feet each, are nearly ready for tenants.

After running into construction troubles and permit delays early in the project, renovations are back on track for Burrito Gallery on East Adams Street. The new Guatemalan-themed restaurant was scheduled to open in November, but that date has been pushed back to January.

Tony Allegretti, developer and one of four partners involved in the restaurant, said they would now like to have the new restaurant open by New Year
