^I missed that brieft mention too in the Times. Must have been from Tuesday. Since that link doesn't work here's what was mentioned:

"Louisiana Boardwalk is a step closer to a new hotel with an official groundbreaking for the Boardwalk Courtyard by Marriott hotel.

The groundbreaking, which will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, is open to the public.

Good news! Thanks for posting this grounbreaking news. A place to stay if we ever get to make it up that way!

At an workshop in Alexandria a couple weeks ago the older women's eyes lit-up at the mention of the Boardwalk. The lady from BR prefers workshops in SBC bec. of the Boardwalk.

Wanted to give you all some on-site intel from the Boardwalk tonite. Looks like Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro is a couple of weeks, if not days, away from opening. They were training their staff when my wife and I were passing through. Also, it looks like O'Brien's is not too far away from opening, either.

This sucks. The article states, " According to Britton Lipscomb, outlet manager, workers at the small outlet will be absorbed into other Border's Books in the area." I didn't know there were others around. I know there was talk of one going in at Shoppes at Bellemead. Anyone know? I just wonder why Boardwalk cannot keep tenants.
