So I took some of the landslide yesterday. It was smaller than I had thought but it must have come down the hill with a lot of force.

Some of the mud hit second story windows.

So the rain flooded Alden Aaroe and it spilled over and down the hill.

This was supposed to show the matted grass that was flattened by the force of the water.

As usual, wonder photo tour by Cam and Coupe. The shots of the storm damage at the American Tobacco ground floor apartment and the earth slippage across 21st street were great, Cam. And I really liked your skyline shots.

Coupe, did you know the old Dominion (Vepco) building at 7th and Franklin had a series of towers on the roofline that spewed steam vapors? Later (in my youth) the towers became stanchions with electric lights.

Also, your least favorite highrise at 7th and Main was about the second new tower built in the post war (WWII) era. The Ross Building at 8th and Main was the first, I believe.

Great work, guys.

Many thanks, guys.

I know now to stop taking pics about an hour before sunset or they will be very dark. March 27 was a long day of pics. These as you can see were late in the day. So... mall, shops, Springfield Bapt Church, the farm, the farm from Three Chopt.

I went downtown today and ended up with 50 some pictures. The glare was awful, so I only kept around 5. We need rain and cooler weather. Im ready for summer to end.

So? When are we going to see the five you saved? And I'd like to see the other 45 glare or no, unless they are truly unviewable.

I am chugging along with my pics. The official count of pics left is 2,480! I have recently edited more than 1000 in the past week!

Oh and when I put a pic in Photoshop now, I see it as you see it (or at least how I saw my pics at work)... there was like an Adobe Gamma something that needed to be adjusted. But it only works when I'm using Photoshop... so if I made a pic and view it later, it'll be very dark. I am so going to correct that Oregon Hill night pic... I'm not going to decrease the contrast anymore... that's what fades my stuff.

I figured Id just post the five when I get my next big picture batch. Trust me when I say, the other 45 or so are truly unviewable. The glare was so bad you could barely tell what some of them were.

Keeping editing , Cam!

So I did about 480 last night. After the 49 I'll do today I'll be able to make 3 discs, download the last temporary disc, and edit those pics. Then after that, the ones left on the computer... and when I finish... I can rest, move on to another project, or take more pics! :yahoo:

1,277 pics left! However, having looked at many of my previously edited pics from the past 2 years, I realize that I have about 10,000 or so pics that would need to be reedited. :( But I doubt I'll redo them just yet. These ones have exhausted me, but I'm learning from my mistakes. When I show, you'll see the difference, unless your screen is like mine.

Great Sig mercuex... being away from Richmond does that to you! :) It happened to me too!

Yea. We out-of-towners view Richmond more lovingly than natives. Of course, that may be because we don't have to endure its daily trials and tribulations.

Tommy, I especially like the black & white of Main Street Station and the outdoor patio at Old City Bar with it striped awnings.
