Aw come on folks:) The runaway best TV show themesong is obvious...GILLIGAN'S ISLAND! The theme song was so indicative of what the series plot was all about. Even if the show was 3 years old and someone saw it for the first time, the themesong would introduce them to the show instantly!!

Also great is THE NANNY. A similar type themesong where it explains the premise of the show, and in a delightful cartoon style.

Third place for me is TAXI. Could there be a lovelier themesong for a show about New York City?
