I've been a couple times and was very impressed. Not only with the food and the decor, but also at how well they hit the ground running. There didn't seem to be any snafus that typically haunt openings.

A lot of different artist represented- not just one. Sue Chin, one of the owners, is a designer and has quite a talent for pulling these spaces together.

If anything, it's like a little art gallery with homage to Parramore's history. Yes, Sue Chin really does a great job of giving the space a classy yet homey feel... I'm obsessed (definitely inspo the next time I renovate). While perusing the Monroe's facebook page, I discovered the murals (the swans and I think the jazz band) were painted by Maureen Hudas - the same artist who painted this:

Didn't they just paint a mural on that building? I like the new development plans, but it's a shame to lose street art...

The mural on the outside of the building- between The Monroe and the Julian office- was painted by Ms. Hudas. The murals on the inside- the swans, the jazz band and the scene behind the coffee counter- were painted by  Sue Chin herself.

Oh ok, thanks for clarifying, I misunderstood their facebook post. The interior is what led me down this rabbit hole in search of the designer/artist. I spent a bunch of time just perusing photos of a restaurant--never done that before lol. Sue is incredibly talented.

From time to time I see ads for Crowdstreet on Facebook.  From the URL it looks like I am in a lookalike audience.   Today, there was an ad for The Julian.
