A couple of Germantown projects by Mainland Company are getting underway soon. Both have secured permits for tree removal:

1) 622 Jefferson sits on the NE corner of 7th Ave. North and Jefferson and will be 3-5 stories with 10 condos, as well as 3 stories with 6 row houses.  There will be a shared courtyard in the center area. Manuel Zeitlin Architects is in charge of the design.

2) 5th & Monroe Townhomes will be 3 stories with 5 units. Zeitland is the architect on this as well.

Knew immediately that first picture was Zeitlin before even reading it. Distinctive style, those guys.

Well....now the Morris Building has been sold by the National Baptist Convention of the USA for $6 million to an entity listed as 330 DrMLKJr Blvd LLC, which is headed up by Michael Winarski of Wyoming.  So, Imagine Hospitality's interest in buying and converting it into a boutique hotel is no more. No word on what Winarski's plan is for the building, which dates back to the 1920s.

The buyer LLC's manager is Michael Winarski. Winarski owns Brentwood-based WIN Building Group and WIN Development.

The loan from Virtue to 330 DrMLKJr Blvd, LLC is due on Dec. 19.

A source told the Post in November that an LLC affiliated with Nashville-based hotel development company Imagine Hospitality was under contract to purchase the property and planned to revive the building as a boutique hotel. That sale has not yet happened, according to available documents. But the source confirmed the plans to purchase the building are still in the works.

Kal Patel, CEO of Imagine Hospitality, declined to comment on the deal.

The City Winery building (26,000 sq. ft.) and its 1.56 acre lot at 600 Middleton St. have been sold by City Winery Nashville LLC for $21 million to Bryan Fort and Taylor Preston of Evelyn Capital LLC.  City Winery had bought the site in 2013 for $2.65 million. 

For andTaylor also own two sites (616 Ewing--just to the east across Ewing St.; and 701-717 Ewing--just to the south across Middleton St.) and have been rumored to want to build residential projects.  Now that they own all 3 parcels at the Middleton/Ewing T intersection, it will be interesting to see what they have in mind.

I think once they acid wash all that gray mortar will fade and  the color will match.

I’m going to go with Mark on this one, either the whole building gets painted or a full wall mural take shape on that western wall 

I’m going to step on the limb and say , if it’s the whole building it’s going to be a dark color possibly even black

I’ve never seen a rendering of this project that would lead me to believe they will be painting the brick.
